Purebred Coffee Co. — Restaurant in Troy

I was so excited that we were set up in front of Purebred coffee. I’ve heard a lot about it.

I had worked for a couple hours getting Nita set up for the Strawberry festival. I was excited to come in and get a real latte. One thing I miss from running a Starbucks for so many years is a 'real latte'.

When i saw the real barista machine I was so happy!

Anyway this Place is beautiful. The people were nice. Unfortunately, we were unable to come to the an agreement on what I was allowed to order so I wasn’t able to buy any of the espresso drinks today.

The outside is very cool on a hot day the inside was really cool- hopefully in the future I’ll be able to go back and find something I am allowed to order while I’m there.

. I’m sure Nita will be in there 100 times over the next few days.

Doppio shots only for this location and one size only espresso drinks so the choice is limited there for sure …. Not for the high BP crowd.

I'll rewrite this with a full review later So I do see why there were only 3 people in the only coffee shop in town early on a friday morning ... more to come

this one seems destined to be added to my "There is no customer service left in America" series....

I was in town and this place caught my eye. I love trying new coffee places. So I went in and ordered a honey lavender latte which was their special. First the cost were very high. $6.49 for a medium latte I thought that was a bit steep. Even Starbucks isn’t that much. The drink did not taste like lavender at all. It tasted very peppery which was odd considering lavender and honey are delicate flavors. Two days later I decided to give them a try again and this time I just ordered my usual drink a cortado. Normally I like to add a little hazelnut to my cortado and they told me they didn’t have hazelnut. I asked what flavors they had and they told me I wasn’t allowed to put flavor in my drink and proceeded to tell me what a cortado was. I know what the heck a cortado is I order it all the time. I have never been to a coffee place who didn’t let me add flavor to a drink. I get if I completely reconstructed a drink but it was a pump of flavor. What was weird is the barista whispered to me they weren’t allowed. Tried contacting management about this experience and...

After reading everyone else's ratings I am even more disappointed in my experience here. The gentleman behind the counter was not very nice. He was more concerned with talking to his friends that came through the door. Making me repeat myself multiple times because he was not paying attention. When asking a question he acted like it was a burden to be answering it. I didnt feel very welcomed and have no desire going back after being treated the way I was. The pastry had almost no filling it and was just all around lacking in taste. I am a coffee fiend but the coffee I had was not good. I think that the quality would have been there if the employee making it would've actually paid attention to what they were doing rather than his friend he was trying to make plans...
