I’ve never been a religious man. Today, this place may have convinced me otherwise.
We got these juices for a work meeting. All seemed well. I decided to go with the “awake” juice, considering I’m a heavy coffee/energy drink consumer. I’m typically not a morning person, I need the extra kick to make sure I’m efficient at my job.
Our supervisor brought the drinks in, and it tasted fine. But it was only after I had drank the entire bottle that I read the warning label on the back that it’s non-pasteurized and could cause some illness. Being a 20 year diabetic, and not taking the best care of myself, I thought I would be okay.
Today, I made a grave mistake.
In the 3 hours since drinking this delightful cocktail of all natural juices, I believe I may have kept my average walking speed at about 35 miles per hour whilst running to and from the bathroom, only trying to keep my innards from falling out and into my pants. This is where I believe I will never be able to set foot in this place on my own accord, and unfortunately have to pass on works offer to get me any juice from there.
I honestly don’t think I’ve had a stomach reaction to anything like this before, and I’ve had some pretty messed up stuff in my life. I’ve dabbled in gas station sushi, roller dogs, sketchy fish from Dollar Tree, and even had a not-so-savory burrito from a taco truck. i would have gladly taken them over this innocent looking juice in a dignified glass bottle any day of the week at this point. Sometimes your worst enemies are the ones you least expect.
I believe in my trips to the bathroom, I’ve dropped 3 pants sizes, as my Levi’s skinny jeans have grown in size, which doesn’t seem to be the reason. I’ve had cold sweats, hot flashes, and a sound emitting from my stomach that can only be described as someone attempting to play Beethoven’s 5th symphony on a trash can. I’ve most likely lost weight, and I’m pretty sure that I’ve evacuated my soul from my body at this point.
I’ve tried attempting to study the Bible whilst in the bathroom stall, and while I’ve been recanting all the wrongs I may have caused people in my life, and tried atoning for my own sins against humanity, I don’t believe that this will rectify my wrongs, and I surely will be swimming in the fires of hell, which honestly feels like what is pouring out from inside of me.
Today, I dabbled with the devil, and the devil may have won. Cheers to you, ReU Juicery. You may not have intended to do so, but you’ve definitely made me question my faith in not only humanity, but in life...
Read moreI was there today and took glass bottles back ( as they have a glass bootle return) when I walked in with the glass bottles and gave them to the cashier said: " These have to be washed" Me: I have rinsed the glass bottles out." " do you have a sign posted with the rules of the bottle returns" Cashier: "Yes there is a sign" Me: " I don't see a sign" She never should me where the sign was why because there was no sign. I love the juice and I try to support local places, but I have to ask why is it my responsibility to wash the glass bottles? Don't you wash them before you use them? I work in healthcare and have been working very long hours and at times don't get lunch, so like to drink these because they can fill me up till I have time to eat. At times the only thing I have time to do is rinsed the bottles and feel blessed to get that done. I had 5 glass bottles that are now in the trashcan because I was so mad. I also spend about 20- 30 dollars a week there, but I think my money will be green in another place. I have been working 6 days a week and this was my only day off to even bring the bottles back. So, sorry the glass bottles were not washed to...
Read moreMy fiancé & I had received a gift card to ReU and a place next door, so we made a date out of it. The baristas were wonderful so we left a tip. The food was great as well. I did not feel comfortable though. It was the first restaurant I’ve seen so many people not wearing a mask. Customers, the manager & the barista took off her mask before she started my food. I believe you should wear a mask at least preparing the food. I have asthma and I still wear mine to protect others. I also wear mine during 12 hour days as a nurse. Just my personal preference, so I will not make a return visit. The manager also seemed passive aggressive about a gift card issue we had. She took care of it but it was an issue. My smoothie bowl had a topping I did not ask for, but that was also a mistake. I understand mistakes, but when I told the manager she questioned me. I had to repeat myself to get the topping I wanted, and she only gave maybe a...
