On 2/10/2024, at approximately 6:20 PM my black family and I (party of 4) visited this location, was put on the waiting list and advised of a 20min wait to be seated. There were approximately 4 names ahead of us at that time. At approximately 6:55 PM we were the last guest waiting to be seated. Around the same time a white party of three came in and they were placed on the waitlist, they approached the hostess with side conversation, placed in front of us, and almost immediately seated. I approached the hostess and asked, “how were they able to be seated in front of us after we were told specifically that we were next to be seated?”. She replied, “someone had a medical condition and it was approved by her manager”. I happen to be in the medical profession. Not that it’s always present, but there were no apparent medical conditions observed (wheelchair, oxygen etc.). A middle aged man & woman with 16-17 teenage male appearing well as my family. We were finally seated in the back corner of the restaurant slightly after 7 PM. After already feeling slighted, the waiter presented a very nonchalant disposition. It was blatant as we are very reasonable individuals. We decided to leave and once we stated that his response was “oh ok“. We then walked out and observed the party she sat in front of us appearing to be having a great time without any apparent accommodations. Our issue: What medical condition causes a family to be seated before another? Especially when there is a seated waiting area. The same area we were seated in. We are not insensitive to people with medical conditions as we are familiar. There was one present with us. But we did not feel it was justification for requesting to be placed in front of others waiting. Our decision to dine should not delay anyone else’s. Furthermore, it could have easily been communicated to us which would have made it more acceptable. Again, we are very reasonable. But the whole thing happed very sly in nature, making it even more insulting. I can only hope for the sake of my sons in particular, whom witnessed it all and felt affronted, that this was not motivated by race. We will not be returning. The Southfield & Detroit location has provided much better...
Read moreI came here with my family for my oldest son's birthday party, and unfortunately met a man named Dave. Dave took use to a dirty back room and closed the curtains for "privacy!" And used his spit to clean the table after we were revolted. He smiled and half his teeth were missing! When he left my daughter asked if he was a zombie. It took almost 30 minutes for him to come back and take our drink order. Once he returned with a roach on his shoulder he brushed it off and it fell in my lemonade. After informing him of this situation he told me he was going on break and went to get a manager. The manager came back, and used his scabbed fingers to pull the live roach out of my lemonade and threw it back on the floor. I watched the roach climb onto the wall to the right of us and it and its family started doing the cha cha slide on the wall like they were performing for us! Dave finally came back and when we tried to order breadsticks he told us to share with the table next to us. Mind you we had no clue who these people were. When we asked for our to-go box he yelled "NO," and demanded that we gave him a 50% tip because it was "store policy." After compromising with a 30% tip so he would stop scaring my children, which by the way the birthday boy started throwing up blood when we returned home, he proceeded to put it in pocket. It fell through a very large hole where you could see white stained sponge bob boxers. Afterwards he crossed the final line when he bent over to pick up the tip to a point where my two daughters could see all of the Sponge Bob. This caused me and my family to bolt out of the restaurant, followed by the friendly group of cockroaches returning our tip. As we were driving off Dave and his rusty spatula demanded back his tip, chasing us yelling homophobic slurs trying to slash the tires on our family Lamborghini truck. This man was so despicable. Stay away from this place and don't trust the food! Worst Pizzeria ever definitely listen to your wife when she suggests...
Read moreAn average spot that we happened to end up at because we are visiting Michigan from Canada and realized a restaurant we meant to visit had closed down. Came here as it was nearby and they offered a variety of pastas which is what we wanted to eat. I had the lasagna which came with a small soup and breadsticks. The lasagna was alright, nothing I’d come back for - but it wasn’t bad either. My friends had the chicken Parmesan, ravioli and the Cajun pasta. Which they also stated was good enough. The one odd part was that we knew that the meals came with breadsticks. Which didn’t come out. We asked our server as it was close to the end of our meals and we still haven’t received it. We were told that they had to check to see if it was ready. Then our server came back and told us that it’s now being prepared. Only after we asked and as our meals were practically packed away. We also ended up just taking our breadsticks home as our food was packed. I was still eating my food and our server offered the bill already (mind you, 3 of my friends were already done eating and were just hanging out) but I didn’t feel that offering the bill was appropriate considering not everyone was done eating. Overall a below average experience along with...
