I've been going to this location since April of '98. It's small, it's cozy; it's located in the North Building of the Somerset Collection. I usually order a soup and sandwich from Zoup, then go down to Starbucks. They formerly had a table and two chairs in the corner, right at the window. Whenever I was fortunate, I often gravitated to it. Sometimes, someone else would be sitting there. No problem---there was the spot on the wallside bench with tables and chairs (just one) close to the window, which suited me just fine. Now that table no longer stands there, so I certainly go to that end on the bench; what I like the most is the side sill to the immediate left, which is part of the structure anyway. I get to rest my drink as well as my phone thereon (while it's getting charged). Yes, that bench has double plug outlets. You can't go wrong. There, your phone is closely near you. When I sat at the aforementioned table, the plug outlet was on the wall but behind me, putting my phone a little farther away than I would've liked. There's another location of Starbucks---in the South Building, on the second floor. Take the staircase or the elevator---you can't miss it. However, their tables and chairs are on the outside, along the wall as you're en route to the restrooms. There also was a location at the Peacock Cafe, but that's gone. When I went to Somerset for the first time, in October '96, I went there and ordered a piece of chocolate cake called Chocolate Thunder. I didn't order any coffee at that point. So now you know MY favorite Starbucks...
Read moreIf it was possible to give zero stars I would. The customer service was terrible. When we were ordering the cashier was extremely nice however our barista was terrible. Terrible. Our order clearly stated that my other friend was getting a tall vanilla bean with extra extra caramel with whip cream. I wanted the exact same thing no whip. When you say extra extra 5 times and say "go crazy with the caramel please." I assume that it would have a LOT on the sides, maybe bottom, and definitely top. However this man did my friends order and did nothing with mine and stated ," you didn't tell me to put caramel on your order." Umm excuse me I think I did. So he Drizzles caramel on the side and gives it to me and doesn't say anything. I said I thought you would put it on the top, I'm sorry." So he gets disgruntled and grabs my cup almost tips it over and takes the lid off and cracks it. Doesn't mind to put a new lid on and Drizzles it on the top barely. He shoves it back and says," well I hope you're satisfied because you were EXTREMELY confusing and that took a lot of time. Maybe you should get your order right the first time." This is the worst vanilla bean I have ever had and my friend also said hers was terrible. I'm extremely dissatisfied and clearly took no time or TLC into our order even though no one else was in line. I'm disappointed. He might've been having an off day but that's no excuse to be a bad person especially when Starbucks prides their selves on...
Read moreI just visited the Starbucks inside of the Somerset Mall and just know that’ll I’ll never return, the person taking my order was rude and rushing and I’m pretty sure that I paid for 2 large lemonades and received 2 small ones. She dropped my change on the counter and instead of handing it to me she looked at me and said nothing but have a good day. The polite thing to do would have been to apologize and pick it up and hand it to a customer. The place was also not very clean, the counter where you pick up your order was sticky and dirty and my 8 year old dropped his straw on the counter and after seeing how dirty the counter was he refused to use it although it was in paper. Please speak with the employees before you lose customers. I have never had a bad experience at Starbucks but this one I...
