Hi, I am an old sy thai customer and I was really hungry when I arrived at Sy thai, troy Michigan after driving for 30mins from Rochester to troy. I was told by that the server that the restaurant is closed because chef decided to close it early while the restaurant's website, the sign on the door and the google link still says that restaurant is open till 11pm. If the restaurant is not accepting anymore dine ins then it should be clearly mentioned online or on the website. What happened to me is ridiculous and unacceptable. I am writing this email to let you know that we were told that we will not be accepted for dine in even though we were in the restaurant at 9:45pm (closing time 11:00pm). A party of two who arrived at the restaurant after us were let in to dine in. How can this behavior be accepted by the management? What exactly is the customer service policy of sy thai as an organization? What is the vision/mission statement/soul of sy thai? A dejected customer waiting for a sensible resolution. Restaurant Location: 459 E Big Beaver Rd, Troy, MI 48083 Party of 9. -Rohit UPDATE: 16 Dec 2018 (Its been 4 months since I wrote the review) Nobody from the management team even cares a little to contact me and address the issues I had with this particular branch. Unbelievable!!!

We had an amazing experience at Sy Thai! First, the dining room is absolutely gorgeous and they have a fantastic outdoor space as well. Everything is beautiful, immaculate and warm and cozy. The patio tables are even elegant with white tablecloths! The service is on point. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. Our drinks were refilled before we even finished, she checked to make sure everything tasted good and bright boxes and a Togo bag right away when she noticed we were clearly taking a lot of food home! The food, wow! This isn't just your standard Thai menu, they have so many fresh and healthy items on the menu including lettuce wraps and creative salads. They also have wine and beer as well if you'd like to celebrate with a drink! We ordered the chicken pad Thai and added vegetables, my husband got mango Chicken. We both shared the appetizer sampler, tom yum. And hot and sour (complimentary) soup. We absolutely loved the classic pad thai and apps but we were blown away with the Mango Chicken. This was a new dish we have never seen before and it was outstanding! We can't wait to come back and try more things!

Sy Thai in Troy is an absolute favorite of mine! If you’re a fan of Thai cuisine, you cannot miss their Tom Kha soup—it’s full of flavor with the perfect balance of creamy coconut, tangy lime, and just the right hint of spice. It’s the kind of dish that warms you from the inside out. What really sets Sy Thai apart, though, is the exceptional service. On my last visit, the staff went out of their way to ensure every detail was perfect, from customizing spice levels to offering thoughtful recommendations. They truly make you feel like a valued guest, whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth. And the Drunken Noodles? Absolutely incredible! They’re always cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of chew and a sauce that strikes the perfect balance between savory and spicy. The fresh vegetables add a nice crunch, and the portion size is generous without being overwhelming. If you’re looking for a restaurant that delivers consistently amazing food with a side of genuine hospitality, Sy Thai in Troy should be at the top of your list.

I would like to start off by saying the food is good but will never be coming back. The service my friend and I received yesterday was absolutely astonishing, and not in a good way.

We went for a birthday lunch at around 1:00PM (after lunch rush). The waitress tried to rush us in every way possible including asking us multiple times to order, gave us attitude for asking dietary questions, and was generally unpleasant to deal with.

We had finished eating and had already paid the bill since she brought out the check mid-food. Friend paid with a CARD. We were talking as we have not seen each other for awhile so did not leave a cash tip YET. I will preface by saying the restaurant was half empty, no one was waiting for tables so I was not understanding the rush to get us out so fast. We planned to stay and chat for around 30 minutes after finishing our meal. 5 minutes after we are done with our food, the waitress comes out asking why we did not tip her. She took the checkbook way before we were done eating, while we were talking and trying to enjoy our meal.

Excuse me??? Who asks that? And that the “owner requires us to write a reason down as to why we got no tip”. Lol yea okay buddy. I have never in my life been asked why we have not tipped when we were not even ready to leave yet. How disgusting and uncomfortable. We were going to leave a $20 tip on a 20$ BILLL!!! Because we know how important their time is and that we would be sitting awhile. Seriously, who does this and...

As the weary alien brought it’s ancient ship into orbit around earth, it announced its presence. It called down to the Earthlings and with a tinge of malice it proclaimed that it was considering destroying the Earth. Many people asked why, but one lone human was able to figure out how to contact the alien. He asked the alien why? The alien replied “why not?”, and to convince it not destroy the Earth. The human said there were wonderful things to enjoy, and since he liked food, described all the different cultures and their unique cuisines. One particular cuisine came to his mind, Thai food. Thai food has excellent flavors, great variety, and could be spicy or not. One particular restaurant stood out to him, and that was Sy Thai, it was a fine example that serves exceptionally good food. Sy Thai serves some of the best Thai food around, and with that, the lone human convinced the alien to try it. The alien tried several different dishes, and could not find one that did not taste delicious, so it agreed that their food was really good, and decided not to destroy the Earth. Instead, the alien ordered some take out for later, and left orbit, stating that “next time I’m in your solar system I will get some more Sy Thai.” The alien story may or may not be true, but Sy Thai has very...
