Sedona Taphouse in Troy completely exceeded my expectations in every way possible. My friends recommended this place since I came back to visit the home state for this week, and from the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere that felt upscale yet comfortable. The décor is beautiful — modern, cozy, and full of that warm amber lighting that makes everything feel relaxed and special at the same time.

Our server was incredible — attentive, genuine, and knowledgeable about both the menu and drink list. You can tell the staff here actually cares about creating a great experience for their guests. They checked on us just the right amount of times, made sure our drinks were always full, and even offered thoughtful recommendations that turned out to be spot on.

The food? Out of this world. I ordered the steak, and it was cooked perfectly — tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. You can tell they take pride in their ingredients and preparation. The sides were fresh and delicious (the mashed potatoes and asparagus deserve their own shout-out), and the presentation was beautiful. My friends ordered seafood dishes, and every single plate looked and tasted amazing.

The drinks were another highlight. Their craft beer and cocktail selection is massive, with something for everyone — from local Michigan brews to creative house cocktails. I tried one of their signature margaritas, and it was easily one of the best I’ve had in a long time: perfectly balanced, refreshing, and not overly sweet.

What really makes Sedona Taphouse stand out, though, is the atmosphere. Even when it’s busy, it feels lively and social without being too loud. The music is upbeat but not overpowering, and it’s the kind of place where you can enjoy a nice dinner, hang out with friends, or even go on a date. Everything about the vibe is welcoming and polished.

It’s also worth mentioning that the pricing is very fair for the quality and portions you get. You truly feel like you’re getting a high-end dining experience without the pretentiousness or the crazy price tag.

Overall, Sedona Taphouse has become one of my absolute favorite spots in Metro-Detroit I have visited this trip. Between the amazing food, great drinks, attentive staff, and inviting atmosphere, it’s everything you could want in a restaurant. Whether you’re here for a casual lunch, a special dinner, or just drinks after work, you’ll walk out smiling. I can’t...

I was not expecting to have chicken pasta in a place like this but boy was I impressed with the food. I went to this place with a couple of co-workers wanting to try something different and that's what we got. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. The decor looks perfect for just about any occasion. It had that tavern/upscale restaurant feel, I love the space and warmth I felt when I walked in. Once we were greeted by our waitress she asked us if we had ever been there before and we hadden so she explained the menu. The menu was pretty simple, starters, salads, pasta, steaks and chicken. I always like to ask the staff what the restaurant is know for or what the favorite dish is and it's always worked for and here it didn't fail. The waitress told me that the steaks were okay but people really like the Devil's path dish. It's a spice penne pasta dish with plenty flavor in a spicy cream sauce, red onions, red peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, parmesan, and basil. With all of that in a dish how could I say no, the funny part was that one of my co-workers like the sound of it and ordered it also. They were also having a Margarita special and one of the drinks was made with blood orange so I had to try it and I did. When the dish arrived I was amazed by the size of the plate. For the price, you get what you pay for and there was plenty of pasta and chicken. As the description detailed this dish is full of flavor and has plenty of spice. The chicken was tender, the mushroom tender, the pasta was cooked just right and the spice was right on point. I wasn't very hungry but man after one bite I couldn't stop eating this dish. I have never had this dish before but the next time I stop by I'm ordering this dish again! The food just sticks to my bones and in a good way. As for the Blood Orange Margarita, it wasn't a sugary drink or overly sweet, it was fresh and the right flavor. Some might call it a fruity drink but it was extremely refreshing. If you like Blood Orange or never had it, you should try this drink. This place has five star all over it and that exactly what I got from the service, the food,...

This was our second time visiting, and we had two hiccups with our meal. We ordered the smoked salmon dip and an upon trying some of the dip, my wife got a fairly large bone almost caught in her throat from the dip. Then I proceeded to find one more even larger bone in the dip. Now I can understand if you’re having a fish fillet and there might be bones in there, but when you’re making something such as a salmon dip, you need to be especially careful because you cannot see bones in it. Had I not physically gone through the rest of the dip it could’ve been even worse. One of the managers kindly took that off our bill and apologize profusely. The second hiccup was the New York strip that I ordered medium. When I cut into it, it was well done. Our waitress happened to be going by just as I cut into it and I stopped her and I said to her “This does not” and before I could say anything else she said “Medium? No it does not . It looks well done.” so needless to say she had them refire it and one of the other managers brought it out and it was perfect. Now aside from that the meal was very good. And the service was fantastic. I am so sorry that I cannot remember our servers name. I had one of their beer flights, and it was very good. The selection of beers was outstanding! I also had one of their specialty cocktails, which was a marshmallow old-fashioned. That was very good as well along with my wife’s margaritas. The manager gave us dessert on the house and we took it to go. We chose the lemon cake, which was absolutely delicious! Even though we did have a couple of issues, management made everything right and we would definitely...

The hostess stand was extremely welcoming and friendly — whoever was working this evening did a great job setting a positive tone right from the start. Unfortunately, the service at the table didn’t quite match that same level. We were celebrating an anniversary, which the hostess kindly mentioned to our server, but it was never acknowledged. No small gesture, no dessert, not even a "Happy Anniversary," which felt like a missed opportunity to make the evening feel special. The server didn’t seem very attentive, even though the terrace wasn’t particularly busy. It felt like she was more focused on turning over tables quickly. When I asked about a pasta dish, she told me that another table had just sent it back — which didn’t exactly inspire confidence. She also didn’t seem very familiar with the menu overall. As for the food — it was good! I had the salmon, which was well-cooked, though I wish the skin had been removed beforehand. The mashed potatoes were tasty, but the broccoli was under-seasoned. My boyfriend had the steak tacos and enjoyed them, though he wished there were three instead of two. Overall, I’d come back, mostly thanks to the ambiance and that great first impression from the hostess. But there’s definitely room for improvement, especially when it comes to making guests feel valued and special.

Came here for a fairly large gathering. Anyone who has been in a situation with a large birthday dinner knows that these events can be a pain. However, the event was smooth and ran without a hitch. The service was AMAZING!!! Alan (or Allen), not sure of the spelling, was literally one of the best servers I've had at a restaurant. He was prompt and quick with orders and questions. He offered good recommendations when asked. I never had to ask for a refill on my drink because he was attentive enough to notice and let me know he was coming with a refill. The food came out extremely fast. Kudos to the kitchen staff on their efficiency and the servers for getting it out surprisingly fast. The clam chowder was delicious. I had the crab stuffed shrimp, which was pretty good, but the crab stuffing tasted a little fishy. I would try another dish next time. The Devils Pass pasta that others in my party ordered looked amazing. I would probably get that next time. Desserts were good too. Overall, Im really just impressed that they could turn a large dinner party (about 30 people) into a smooth, quick, efficient, and enjoyable time. I would definitely recommend it and will definitely come back!!!
