Went here with my husband and our children and my friend and her children and as i was cashing out my husband saw a bucket of crayons/chalk on the table figuring the kids could draw on the wall but it was an honest innocent mistake on our part because apparently they were for drawing on the table. The owner comes out and just stares are us then the wall with his jaw dropped in complete disbelief, my husband says are those crayons not washable? The owner says so rudely “they are but why would they draw on the wall with them!!” My husband replies “we are so so sorry we didn’t know what they were for we figured they were to draw on the wall with them we apologize we will clean it up” I say “ well where are they supposed to be used on? He said “for them to draw on the table” then just stares at us with this insanely evil look and walks away. One of the workers came out and helped me clean it off of the wall but the way the owner approached us for an honest silly mistake, i will never ever support this small business or recommend it to anybody ever again. Yeah the ice cream is good if you want to pay an arm and a leg but not worth supporting an unwelcoming establishment. The people sitting next to us even noticed how disgustingly rude he was. If he were to approach us differently i would’ve completely been more understanding but sadly he made us feel so uncomfortable and unwelcomed. 10/10 DO...
Read moreMy fiancé and I were told that the Dutch Udder caters for weddings, they also state that on their website. I reached out a week ago with no response so my fiancé called today. The woman he spoke to was down right rude. She ignored our email, she told him she read the email but decided not to reply. She then went on to tell them that she didn’t bother to look into if they were free or booked for the weekend but they will be busy at shop and will not be catering our wedding because “it’s the first week back to school”. The only thing that I can figure out is that I offended her by asking in my email if I would be able to supply toppings for our guests (special to my fiancé and I, as well as our relationship), because she specifically told him on the phone that their ice cream is made so that you don’t need toppings... their catering menu includes many flavors with things mixed in, but also includes a regular vanilla and a chocolate, unless this has changed and they have not updated their catering menu. Plus, I don’t care what’s mixed into the ice cream, who doesn’t love sprinkles? I love supporting local business, but at this point I won’t even think about stepping foot on their property. It’s a shame to know our wedding venue listed them as a preferred vendor when their customer service is...
Read moreIce cream "flavored" with alcolhol (though non-alcoholic) is such a cool idea! An amazing story behind amazing ice cream - I learned that one of the owners started up his ice cream business after serving in Iraq, inspired by his daughter's science project. He made ice cream once, and the ideas took off from there, making ice cream for friend and family, with creative flavors. The store sells 10-12 flavors at a time, though they have 70+ flavors that alternate through the year. The Dutch Udder won #1 in a worldwide vanilla ice cream competition this year (2018), so obviously had to try it - it was great! I am more into the interesting flavors, which I think is really what makes this place unique. Incorperating beers, baileys, rum, etc. into ice cream tastes pretty incredible and so unique! This guy really knows what he's doing - with a passion for beer, he's in the know of the science needed behind delicious ice cream. The ice cream is a little pricy for my taste, but the subtle unique taste is certainly worth the price! My favorite was the pina colata ice cream, but I also really enjoyed the pink velvet cookie dough. My fiance loved the cookies n'...
