Any review I can write will not do Franklin Plaza justice. It was an absolutely wonderful, unforgettable day much in thanks to the amazing, experienced and qualified staff at Franklin Plaza.
First, FP makes the planning process extremely easy. I was definitely a type A bride (not to be confused with a bridezilla) and so I did a lot of planning and extras on my own. None of this would have been necessary since FP goes to such lengths to make the day absolutely perfect, but I was the type of bride who was really eager to take a large role in the planning. They indulged my every whim and never really said no to anything I asked for or brought to them. Joe, one of the main individuals we worked with will also not nickle and dime you. Quite the contrary, actually. He encouraged us not to go crazy with a cake or flowers and so we didn’t. Honestly, it saved us a ton of money and the space is so elegant in and of itself no one noticed and those touches weren’t missed.
The actual rehearsal, wedding and afterparty were absolutely amazing. Every touch I had indicated I wanted was there and then some. FP definitely goes the extra mile in making sure nothing is left undone. It is clear they have an impeccable reputation that they are not willing to put in jeopardy. There were many things I didn’t expect at the wedding that I saw (extra décor touches, extra appetizers, etc. ) which were all pleasant surprises the day of. I have to take a moment to shed light on the staff. All of the staff at FP are incredibly professional and experienced and it is noticeable. Even if you just go to one of their bridal shows/ attend a wedding there you will notice immediately. At my wedding myself, parents, and bridal party were assigned a staffer just for us. His name was Lashaun and I wanted to keep him in my pocket forever! He was literally amazing. Was always checking on us and anything we needed, at all, he was there to do for us (and quickly!). LaShaun honestly works at the caliber of someone I would expect to find at a White House dinner or at a venue in NYC or LA. He is amazing. Finally, FP does many little touches during service such as offer bridal party extra entrees, fold guest napkins as they get up, and just all around cater to each and every individual there. I could spend another whole paragraph on the quality of the food, but I’ll let that statement speak for itself.
Lastly, I think with all weddings it is important to discuss budget. The average cost of a wedding in NYS in $30,000. I can confidently say we came in under the average cost of a wedding while having an above average day. I am not sure of all the options FP has, but I will say that we were clear from the start about what we wanted to spend and we did not exceed it. FP has it all- catering, bar, linens etc. all in house. If you are able I highly recommend booking the after party as it is on their newly renovated rooftop and will leave you with memories you won’t forget and provides some outdoor time which the venue does not otherwise offer. Overall, if you are venue shopping in the capital region of NY this is one of the most budget friendly, professional places I have worked with. After having been a wedding guest many times, at some other extremely beautiful venues I feel that ours outdid them all for less money. What else...
Read moreI've gone to two weddings here and both were absolutely wonderful! The first was a smaller party located on the upper (3rd) floor which had a beautiful arrangement for the ceremony. The reception extended out to the roof top, which had spectacular views as well as comfortable seating and cozy fire patio heaters to keep you warm on a cool night. The staff was absolutely amazing!! 11/10 recomend for all of the staff. Couldn't have asked for a better crew to welcome and direct us throughout the night. Extremely friendly, kind, respectful, helpful, accommodating and professional. Every detail was neat, clean and orderly; while allowing the guests to feel relaxed and at ease. The food was AMAZING. So many delicious options for appetizers, entrees, drinks and dessert! The rooms throughout the whole building are truly breathtaking. Everything is set up perfectly and the style/atmosphere here is magnificent. The eligance makes every room worth stopping by just to admire the beauty. The second wedding was much larger and used all three levels of the building throughout the night. Everything was superb and each floor had its own unique and gorgeous look to it. If you are considering using the Franklin Plaza , the answer is YES. I highly recommend it!! You will not regret it and will love every second of it. Thank you to all the staff for making our time at the weddings a dream come true for...
Read moreWe got married at the Franklin Plaza last week and I have nothing but great things to say about this place. From the second we booked our wedding to having moved it due to COVID and finally having our big day Joe and the team at the Franklin Plaza were absolutely amazing. From the start of the cocktail hour to the end of the reception and our afterparty on the rooftop everything ran so smoothly, and it was the perfect day.
Between the passed hors d’oeuvres to the best fried calamari we had ever had, the cocktail hour was incredible, and we have gotten so many compliments from our guests about how amazing it was. For our dinner we couldn’t believe how fast everyone was served and how delicious everything was! If you're up in the air about a meal the Osso Bucca of Pork is a must, it is to die for.
Greg, Michael Angelo, Kane, and the rest of the staff were nothing short of amazing! The wait staff was extremely friendly, respectful, and polite. They were very attentive and made sure that you had everything you needed at any point throughout the night. The bartenders didn’t miss a beat and the doorman was a friendly face greeting everyone at the party!
Our wedding was everything we wanted and more. The Franklin Plaza is worth every penny spent, and I wouldn’t have changed a thing during our day. I highly recommend this venue to anyone! We will be talking about this day for a...
