Went with my Husband, Father in law and Brother in law on a Saturday. This was our first visit.
This restaurant is mostly about the meat but they have a full salad bar as well. We chose the option that allowed for unlimited salad bar trips. They give you a card to keep on one side if you aren't ready for meat and which you flip to indicate you'd like them to bring the meat over.
They bring several meat types including lamb chops, top sirloin, bottom sirloin, ribs, chicken hearts, drumsticks and more. They slice the meats right at the table off of a long skewer but you can also request meats cooked a certain way and they will prepare it and bring it to you.
The hostess area, dining area, salad bar and bathrooms were all clean and inviting. All of the staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we got there. They have a large seating area, while they were fairly busy it wasn't overly crowded or noisy. We were Sat in a corner and the staff were quick to clear and replace plates, offer refills and bring meat options.
The salad bar was set up well and maintained constantly. They had a couple of lettuce options that were already dressed with Caesar or blue cheese, I skipped those but the guys liked them. They also had large loose leaf lettuce and dressing options which I tried but the lettuce was not great. The rest of the salad bar was delicious tho. There were olives, fresh mushrooms, sliced deli meats and cheeses, potato and pasta salads, hard boiled eggs, fresh fruit and more. The tomato slices with mozz was a highlight for me.
For the meat I tried the top sirloin which I found the most flavorful. The bottom sirloin was also good. The lamb had a good flavor for me but was fatty and chewy, my brother in law didn't like the flavor at all tho. The ribs were tasty if a bit well done and the chicken drumsticks were yummy. They will bring the type of meat you want if you ask and there doesn't appear to be a limit.
The staff was the highlight of the visit. They were all very friendly, seemed to enjoy being there, made conversation, were constantly aware of their surroundings clearing plates, offering refills and avoiding blocking isles for guests. It was clear they were well trained as they were careful to explain ever step of the process for us. Everyone was knowledgeable and...
Read moreSince this place is recently opened about a month ago it had been quite difficult to get a table reserved, pretty popular. Before this opened in Tucson the closest Brazilian steak house is in Phoenix, been there a couple times so I knew what to expect. But we have to reserve a table for 2pm on Sunday because other times were booked, and incidentally they open at 2 pm. As stated they have about 13 types of meat when you do the “whole experience” for $40 or so for adults and ~$20 for kids over 6 years old. Kids 5 and under are free thankfully! They have a few types of lambs like lamb chops, leg etc which are good and chicken which is flavorful. Their house sausage is average not that crazy good, I wouldn’t eat too much if that. They have a lot of sirloin and bottom sirloin served along with NY strip cuz u think they’re the cheaper cuts of meat and rarely do you see the Tenderloin aka Filet Mignon. However the sirloins are very flavorful and the crusted crisp over the roasted meat is crazy good. When it is served the Tenderloin is flavorless but very tender, I guess they really don’t want you to get hooked on that cut of meat and keep wanting more and more since they are the most expensive cut of meat. The other good cut of meat is the garlic beef, not as tender as the Tenderloin but flavorful and tender enough. The Parmesan cheese covered pork tenderloin is alright, not crazy good, I guess it is hard to cook it juicy as it is very slightly dry. Everyone else went to the salad bar first to fill up their plate with cold cuts, cheese and salad stuff. I didn’t as I wanted to fill me up with just meat today. Tip: don’t fill yourself up with empty carbs like the cheese bread, mash potatoes and the fried bananas served on the table or you won’t get enough meat to fill up your tummy. Although the fried banana is crazy good. This place is good for meat lovers, those on a Keto or paleo diet I guess... Indulge yourself once in a while at over $40/ adult it...
Read moreGood meats, friendly staff. Fantastic atmosphere, but unfortunately not all you can eat when you get constantly skipped for almost 30mins. I'm 130 lbs and not any sort of heavy eater yet here I was, still waiting on getting food after the first few 'heats'. Ended up filling up (3 plates) at the salad bar at the end of the night.
The start of the night was great. We had a friendly waitress and were situated right at the front of where the staff enter/exit the kitchen with the skewers. The first 20mins we had a steady stream of people come to offer delicious meats and steady re-fills of our water and drinks.
However it went down-hill past that. For three 'arcs' of around 10 minutes each, our table received no service from the staff. After the first ten minutes. I had the table flip up green so it wasn't just mine and I put my own green card at face level holding it up. No dice. This went on many times and I deducted a star for each 10minute interval for where we received no wait-staff with skewers at my table despite cards green and mine at face level. I would have deducted three stars however that would have been a bit far too unkind so I left it at a total of 3 stars as the meat quality was good.
At the end of the night, the only way I was able to get more food was by waving down staff and specially requesting meat, of which only one would come and one or two morsels dropped on my plate. As we were about to leave, I decided that since I wasn't going to be able to get more meat (i.e, waste my time waving down staff), I would need to fill up on the salad bar. Three plates later of potato salad, pasta salad and pineapples was what it took for me to 'fill up' at the end of the night.
Overall while the meat quality and staff were pleasant and nice. It is hard to justify going again when I did not get 'all you can eat' food (again Im 130 lbs) and had to fill up at...
