The Location: Inside of Tucson Mall located in the food court area The Food: Middle Eastern/Greek Would I go back: Yes The Skinny: Flavorful food with a moderate price, "ok" portions but could use work on transparency on drink refills and more difference between drink sizes.
What did I like: I liked the flavor of the food as it was very Middle Eastern more than it was Greek. -You could tell from their Tzatziki Sauce (cucumber sauce) that is quite a bit more Dill than most Greek establishments. -The rice had flavor of the Middle East and everything seemed fresh
What I did not like: -I did not like that the price really didn't justify the portion. The fact that it was $8.99 for this size and that for the "jumbo" you would pay almost double rather than just an additional fee. Not saying I don't want to spend the money but their location is in a mall food court so you should at least be comparable to the price of other establishments rather than out of their league price wise. Minor things I did not like was the fact that I believe their Diet Coke was not "Diet coke" but rather Coke Zero. You could definitely taste the difference. I hope that they do not accidentally mix it with regular coke as this would be detrimental to a diabetic. I was not fond of was that the "large" drink was not much bigger than that of the medium size. Plus they do not tell you this but refills of the beverage are $0.99/refill. You're best bet is to buy a drink somewhere else that gives you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'd have to say I rarely leave reviews but my experience really had me taken back. When I had walked up to the restaurant the signs and advertisements for the restaurant looked so yummy and appetizing! The gentleman that helped me was very kind comsidering he was the only employee working. I had ordered a medium meat kebab with an additional pita and a coke ( small plastic bottle ) that came out to $20 including a tip. I had really high hopes to eat a good kebab and was unfortunately unsatisfied. When I had received my food it looked like a very small portion. I decided not to knock it until I tried it, so I had taken a bite and the meat quite literally dissolved and fell apart in my mouth mixed in with a heavy amount of mayo and soft lettuce. The flavor of this mysterious meat tasted of pure liquid smoke and smelt like a burnt piece of either plastic or chemicals I couldn't pin point the taste at all. The pita bread was most definitely bought from the store, cold and, lightly toasted on the grill. Again the advertisement is misleading and is...

The falafel is fantastic. Crunchy outside, not too moist on the inside, but not dry or falling apart either. If you like either yellow or green (parsley) falafel insides, this will meet you in the middle. The spices are flavorful and the oil was clearly new and properly heated. Best falafel in Arizona.
The gyro can be easily enjoyed -- as it's also perfectly prepared. If you go by the mall and look you'll see the vertical rotisseries keeping the chicken and the beef at the perfect temperature for slicing into a sandwich. The gyro we got was the same perfect beef.
We also enjoyed the perfectly prepared hummus, basmati rice, tzadziki, and tahini. The pitas were fresh, hot, and nicely wrapped to preserve both.
Will order again. For sure.
Ehud...
