JOB SEEKERS BEWARE!! Got hired on at Mod Pizza and started training just before Christmas. First few days went great, everyone really seemed to like me and we vibed well while working. Then on my fifth day of training, one of the trainers is having a bad day and being considerably rude to me ( ie, getting very upset when I do something wrong or ask questions/hesitate). I asked one of the other people who had been helping train me what was going on, if he was having a bad day or had a problem with me or something. She said she’d talk to him, I asked her not to. Two minutes later the trainer comes back and tells me to clock out and leave. Everyone else assures me everything is fine, he just acts that way sometimes and to just call the manager and explain what it is that happened after work. The manager didn’t answer so I left a message asking him to call back. When he did, he fired me without a second thought or even really listening to my side of what happened. Would never work, or eat there again after being treated like this. Incredibly toxic work environment, if someone with seniority decides they don’t like you they can get you fired with ease. I’d leave a 0 star review if I could, this is one of the most unprofessional things I’ve ever experienced in the workforce, and I worked for Hsl. The food is pretty good though. I’d recommend trying the Broadway location instead.
Edit: Forgot to update this with the thrilling conclusion to this ridiculous scenario that is working at Mod Pizza. I contacted H.R. to let them know what had happened, and the manager here straight up lied to them and told them that the real reason that I was let go was because I was a bad worker and wasn’t completing my training quick enough. Unfortunately, even though I had my employee training packet that multiple people in charge of my training had signed off on saying entirely the contrary; and that I was actually doing quite well in fact, there was nothing that HR could do. The manager here will lie through his teeth just to make himself look good and put his employees down. Don’t work here unless you have a taste for drama and backstabbing. And even then, you might lose your job one day just because they decide they don’t like the cut of your jib without any real...
Read moreSo as you can see I gave one star when the person says I don't get paid enough to care that's making your food it shows. For one they put these labels now that they write with black marker under your actual food along with these dirty metal labels. But when you actually get your food it's served to you back on the brown paper. Cost efficient not sure. So back to when I ordered now you have to ask for enough cheese to even cover your pizza otherwise your paying around $11 for dough. And your salad oh wow talk about the bottom of the head of lettuce! They ask do you want it mixed in the salad? You say sure don't unless you want actual dressing. The gloves being changed is pretty much not at all and they move from station to station touching food with gloves still on. Also no hand washing coming from the front of house to back of house. And to top it off 2 employees come back one from the bathroom and the other from changing out the soda syrup the go to wash there hands and your supposed to pretty much sing Happy Birthday that how long your supposed to wash your hands. Yeah no a rinse then dry is a major no! I once loved this location but this is a no go and I won't go into...
Read moreI had an incredible experience at Mod Pizza thanks to an outstanding team member named Aiden. From the moment I walked in, Aiden’s welcoming smile and positive attitude set the tone for an excellent dining experience.
Aiden went above and beyond to ensure my order was perfect, taking the time to patiently explain the menu options and making great recommendations based on my preferences. His knowledge about the various toppings and combinations was impressive, and he clearly takes pride in his work.
Not only did Aiden provide top-notch service, but he also exhibited a genuine passion for customer satisfaction. He checked in on us multiple times during our meal to make sure everything was to our liking and even offered some delicious dessert options.
It’s rare to encounter someone so dedicated and enthusiastic in the food service industry. Aiden’s exceptional service truly stood out and made my visit to Mod Pizza memorable. He is a valuable asset to the team, and I hope his hard work and commitment are recognized.
