Today my family and I visited this ihop and let me just say, I was not satisfied. Now I don’t know if ihops in Tucson are different than Phoenix. I would think it wouldn’t be much of a difference but it certainly is different or maybe it was just this location. Well we arrived at 1:03pm and I was told that it would be about a 30min wait for our food to be prepared. I had no problem with that. It looked like it was winding down so I felt like that wasn’t a bad time. We were seated and someone came to take our beverage order. The young lady took our drink order and brought us our drinks in a timely fashion but didn’t bother to bring things that would be common sense that we would need.If someone orders coffee you bring them creamer. If someone orders a cold beverage you bring them a straw. Well it took several requests to get those things brought to the table. I wasn’t upset I just figured the girl was flustered or new. After she brought us more creamer she disappeared and we sat there for over 30min for someone to come and take our order. No one ever came. I approached the hostess and asked what was going on. The young lady that had brought our beverages explained that she was just there to deliver beverages not take orders and the lady that had seated us said it didn’t appear that anyone had been assigned to our table. After asking where I was sitting a server by the name of Kyle came to attempt to save the day. She did an awesome job taking our order and getting every detail down of what we needed. Unfortunately she was then told that she would only be taking the order and that someone else would be taking over. This made me worried and irritated because we had already been forgotten once. Kyle apologized for any inconvenience and pointed out who would be taking over. Minutes later she returned to ask if we need beverage refills and to inform us that she would be finishing serving us today. I was relived and we ordered our refills. Minutes later the waitress that originally was going to take over came to ask about our beverages again. I didn’t put too much thought into it. But then Kyle and this new waitress returned to our table with double beverages. I explained to Kyle that I was confused because I thought she was finishing our order and she explained that’s what she thought too but then the new waitress says no that Kyle was going home and she would be finishing. I knew things were not going good when we had two other servers come out to confirm our orders. I was very confused because I saw Kyle take our order and she verified by repeating everything so I don’t know what happened. This experience was getting me more agitated and confused but I was trying to not get more upset. At 2:28pm we were finally brought food. Our orders were wrong. Food was missing. Two of my nieces orders were not even made. We lost our appetite. There was no communication and worst of all the manager that was there seemed like he was blaming Kyle. I want it made clear that Kyle did everything she was supposed to once she got us as her customers. Whoever is supposed to assign the server is at fault or scheduling because if Kyle was supposed to be clocking out where was the server to take over. I don’t know how things work at a restaurant but everything was just horrible. Kyle and the two servers that helped were great. Yes the manager took care of the bill but that didn’t bring back the smile on my face. I walked in with a smile on my face and hungry. I walked out with no smile and no appetite. The food that I was able to taste, before becoming frustrated with everything going wrong, was not good. My omelette was dry and lacked bacon for being the bacon temptation. The pancakes were so small and crispy that wasn’t what I’d expect from a pancake house and well the other stuff we ordered I couldn’t tell you because it didn’t come. They brought my nieces food as we were walking out of the restaurant. It was just a horrible experience with the exception of Kyle. Thank you again Kyle! You are the reason I...
Read moreJust tried to eat at this ihop that I’ve been to many time with friends and family, and it was the WORST service I’ve ever received! Sat down for a table of four people at 10:30pm not very busy a few tables. 15 minutes go by no one has come over to great us or take our drink orders. Kid finally comes over, takes our drink order, leaves, comes back and takes our food order. So we sit and wait...and wait...and wait...he never comes back to check on us or to tell us why our food is taking forever. Walks around the long way basically avoiding our table, while his other tables that came 20 minutes after us get their food. After an HOUR of waiting and empty glasses he comes back and we ask him why the food is taking so long. He shrugs his shoulders and says I don’t know I guess I could go ask them. What?!? You guess??? My dad only ordered a milkshake and he looks at my dad and says I guess I could make your milkshake real quick and I’ll refill your drinks. Gee thanks! So he comes back with the drinks and they’re wrong, ordered Diet Coke and he brought us Dr. Pepper and then he never comes back with the milkshake. So once another table got a plate of food before us we had it and wanted to talk to a manager. A different waitress comes over and says you guys haven’t gotten your food yet? We tell her the drinks are wrong and she tells us she’ll get us new ones and see what’s going on with the food. She comes back and we ask her what’s going on and she said I don’t know the cooks were busy and I figured I’d bring your drinks then go back. We tell her we wanna speak with a manager, she says ok and goes tells this girl who looks like she’s 20 years old who I’ve been watching the whole time we’ve been sitting at our table. She was touching peoples food, eating, on her phone, pointing at customers and laughing at the back of the restaurant where everyone could see her. The girl tells her we wanna talk to her and she took her sweetass time to come over. Pretending to roll silverware, walking to the kitchen, stopping and talking to employees. We finally had it and start to get up to leave and then she comes over with the fakest smile on her face. We tell her we’re leaving and she says ok. Ok?!?!? We told her everything that happened, that it’s taken over an hour and we still haven’t gotten our food while other tables that got here after us are, the waiter hasn’t checked on us, brought us the wrong drinks, etc... and she doesn’t even apologize! All she said was I’ll talk to him! Doesn’t offer us anything no apology nothing! No customer service what so ever! I’ve never had to walk out of a restaurant before and the fact that she didn’t even care is what pisses me off the most! I will not be coming back to this ihop just because they don’t seem to understand what good...
Read moreAll these 3star or above, obviously weren't at the IHOP on Oracle, next to Lowes! Wait was actually very, very, short . There was absolutely no one waiting,(very unusual)on a Saturday morning. Waitress was terrible, slow, did not perform usual waitress tasks, like providing Syrup, napkins, Creamer, as requested, NO checks/inquiries about anything! Avoided signals to fact that service was needed, the one (1) time we did get her attention she was abrupt, leaving before question was even stated completely. Requested items were never brought to the table ie. Creamer, napkins. Pile of stacked dirty dishes, debris, etc. were never removed. Of course, she never asked how things were, can I get you anything else, etc. Could not get the attention of ANYONE. Then the "food" , there wasn't much! Fillings were scant, at best. Flavors were not the same as recieved in prior years, and years, of being a frequent family customers. It was my 91 year old Uncles birthday , I took him to IHOP as it was his favorite breakfast restaurant. No longer, he was sadly disappointed. I realize the Covid epidemic has changed many things, but, this was beyond even that! Also, strangely, the room was freezing, when we stopped someone, and even got the waitress, once, no response was given, verbal or otherwise . Of course, the prices were all inflated , but, that was expected. My uncle and I left with him stating, " I don't think I want to go there again", sad. Upon leaving no attention was given by anyone , approached, etc. I have taken my Uncle to that very IHOP , many, many, times over the years, now he doesn't want to go back to his favorite restaurant!
