We had a strange experience but it wasn't bad.
We came in on the night of graduation with 11 people. I believe they were short staff also. Our first waitress took the drink order and it took awhile to get to us but it was only a little longer than normal. Then we had our order taken and that took a long time to get to us. The first waitress came and started refilling our drink for those who were ready for a refill. At some point a second waitress came to our table (around the 1 hour and 30 min mark). She let us know our waitress just left. We all were shocked because she was doing an OK job just slow but it was a busy night and we saw only 3 waitress for the whole restaurant. We didnt complain about anything and thought she was doing a decent job. We heard she was only there for a week. The second waitress (I think her name was Alyssa) was a pro. She got our orders again to ensure it was everything we ordered.
Some good was rushed(because we were waitin for a long time) and it affected the quality.
I didn't ask about other people's dishes because it was a long night. Only ones I heard about were the ones that has something wrong with them.
2/4 of the sunny side eggs were under cooked(the egg whites weren't fully cooked when we was requested that they need to be). I believe this because the last two were rushed.
One of the beef tips had onions when requested for them not to have them. He was allergic.
Cali melt: I was missing the avocado. The sandwich was delicious regardless. Bread was toasted but not too toasted where it will cut the top of your mouth. The chicken was a little dry. Overall it was a good sandwich even with the missing avocado.
The popsicle drink: I highly recommend. That is amazing and my new favorite drink. The perfect balance of sweet and tart.
With all that craziness it wasn't a bad experience because we knew it was going to be packed and service would be a little slow. Also that second waitress needs a raise. She was handling 1.5×more customers and kept up. We gave her a...
Read moreWorst experience! Employees at Ihop don’t have costumer service skills. My husband and I decided to go for breakfast Stephanie was in the front sitting everyone that was arriving so she took us to a table and there was a booth available, I told her is it ok if we sit on that booth, she said table needs to be cleaned I told her I can wait for someone to clean it, she didn’t say a word and walk away so I decided to go over and sit and wait for someone to clean the table there was dishes and tip in the table from previous customers. This lady that was taking the table behind my backs order she interrupted them and came to me in a rude way yelled and told me “you have to wait in the front to get seated! You can just walk back and sit in the table it needs to be cleaned! I told her I was told I can sit here in the table that we would wait for table to get cleaned. And this lady said “she told you to sit?!! I told her yes. She rolled her eyes at me and snatched the money from the table and walked away and continued to get the order from the table behind me. Not sure if she was having a bad day. But she ruined my appetite and embarrassed me in front of people, that was not a professional way of telling me as a customer that I should’ve not sit in the dirty table I had no idea since Stephanie just walked away. If you don’t like your job then I feel like she should not be working as a server making customers feel uncomfortable there’s other ways of approaching customers. They need more communication skills also. Never going back. Couldn’t get that lady’s name because her name tag was not readable she was short and on the heavy side wearing black glasses had cray brown hair on a pony tail White lady, I overheard her telling a customer that she’s been there 3 years, because I guess customers was asking for something and she responded to customers “the 3 years I been here never heard such thing” not sure what customer...
Read moreI vacationed recently in Tucson and the food was so good at this IHOP location that I went back every day for breakfast. I don't know what is going on about the "racist rant" in this review thread but all I saw were people of all colors, shapes and sizes having a good time with friends and family, eating great food. The restaurant is clean, tables clean, utensils clean, no goo on the syrup carafes, the orders came very quickly arriving hot. Wait help was excellent and cheery though restaurant packed full at all times. The portions are LARGE, the huge carafe of coffee is very tasty and I am picky about coffee, the eggs were perfect, waffles crisp, hot, generous portion of butter, hash browns perfect, orange juice tasted and looked like fresh squeezed, not a single thing I could complain about. One time there was a long waiting list but we were put on the list and barely had time to sit down outside to wait when we were called in. The quality of the food did not change over the days I ate there and I would not hesitate to try another IHOP location based on this experience. I normally wouldn't think to eat at an IHOP but the food was really good and for the price is an excellent bargain if you are wanting to take the family or visiting relatives out for a meal. At no time did I see any hint of "racism" of any sort so not sure what that is about but there were Hispanics, Africans, Whites, Brasilians, some young Muslim women in head scarves, young kids with a few piercings, tattoos, old people moving a little slow to get to their tables and no one had any issues, to my knowledge, of any kind of racist/sexist/bigoted treatment. Everyone was happy and enjoying themselves. 5 stars for food, service,...
