Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Tucson

This place is horrible. Don't bother. I went here thinking I would try something diiferent. A guy I have a class with said that it was a fun place to eat during lunch. This place is definetly not fun. It is corny. When I ordered my sandwich the kid at the counter gave me a cheesy smile and said it would be done "freaky fast." That's just stupid. It felt like a twelve year old was marketing sandwiches to me. It was also kind of unsettling to have five perfect strangers greet me the second I walked in the door. One person is enough. There was even someone that popped his head out of the back to give me a belated, "Welcome to Jimmy John's!" The music they played was total garbage. Some sort mix between nu-metal from earlier this decade and the Dave Mathews Band. Really this store is a failed atempt at marketing to the youth demographic. It feels as if your totally uncool dad turned his hat around one day and started making up his own slang terminology and catch phrases. The overwhelming corniness of this place aside, the food was not bad. It was edible, but that is just the problem. There is nothing remarkable about the sandwiches. You could make them at home for much cheaper. They actually charge $3.50 for ham on white bread. Their sandwiches are somwhat cheap, but they just aren't good to justify paying fast food prices for them. This place sucks and no one should ever encourage what they are doing by...

I made an order at 4:40 p.m. on December 30th. Normally feel no need to leave a review but due to the poor service Jimmy John's needs to retrain their staff at this location. No one should enter a Jimmy John's and feel unwelcome to stay and eat their meal. It has been at least three years since I've entered a Jimmy John's since my last bet experience so this doesn't help I will not return again. The tall, heavy set guy was very kind also was the only one who insisted me when I came up to ask for a straw, a second time to ask for napkins, and the third time to ask for the PIN for the bathroom. The other two staff that were there saw me and chose not to assist me. The 3ed time I came to the counter to request the pin for the bathroom the woman made direct eye contact and looked away. She made no effort to assist me even though I standing there. The taller heavy-set guy deserves a raise or a bonus and the other two need to be retrained. I used to work at this location and I'm honestly shocked by the lack of energy. No blow-aways, messy looking crew and super slow service. 7 years ago you had to be upbeat, well groomed and freaky fast. I guess none of that matters anymore. Not to mention the inconsistent sandwiches, falling apart, always missing something and just the lack of love. I haven't worked on a cold table in seven years but i guarantee i could make a sandwich faster than the people who work here now. I'll keep coming back; this place holds a lot of great memories and even though the food might not always look the same it's got a taste you cant find anywhere else.
