EDIT 2. I called KFC customer service and was quickly told that the whole situation was wrong and my actions were completely warranted. I opted to not receive a voucher and to instead by contacted by upper management. The rep on the phone apologized up and down and made sure to let me know everything would be resolved asap! If nothing happens I will be filing a lawsuit over the false report.
EDIT. Called today to see if I could speak with upper management, was cursed at by the manager (Hispanic woman) and accused of attempting to ROB the place for trying to grab MY money they were giving me back. I will be pursuing this further.
I came in an hour and a half before the posted close time, I was greeted and asked for time to look at the menu. We decided on the $20 deal.
The cashier put the box of food on the counter and walked away: The chicken we received looked like it had been harmed. It was also nowhere near fresh, cold to the touch, and dry. There were no French Fries so they substituted extra chicken nuggets that were also cold & old and extra chewy™. They only had 3 dry a** biscuits in the whole store so we got and extra piece of mutilated chicken.
I kindly asked for my money back.
The cashier disappeared for a long few minutes around a corner and when she returned she said verbatim “he says we can’t give you a refund because you don’t have a real reason.” I looked at the lady confused, and asked for a manager.
The “manager” comes over and repeats what the cashier said and offers me more OF THE SAME FOOD to attempt to resolve the issues. I asked for either a refund or a freshly made order. Which was refused. After several back and forths with the manager repeating the same thing. I became upset and got loud as I demanded a refund. At one point another employee was told by someone on the phone to give me my money back and the manager started doing so right away. Right as he was handing it to me he changed his mind and started putting it back I reached for it and he tried to play it like I was reaching into the cash drawer.. childish and ridiculous. Eventually one of the staff threatened to do bodily harm with a knife so I decided to leave. I recorded everything and will be sending my videos to any higher up I can get ahold of.
I understand not wanting to give a refund if I ate the food, or even part of it. But I didn’t even leave the restaurant.. and the manager even admitted that the food was old

It was 820pm. I asked if we could do a $30 fill up. The woman said they could but it would be 20-30 minutes to cook the chicken.
I asked if we could substitute the chicken with tenders to avoid the wait.
She said they could do a 12 piece meal but cooking a double order would take the same time. So we decided to order the 12 piece tender meal.
The woman at the drive through apologized, she said they stopped cooking chicken because they close in 40 minutes do to covid. She charged me, gave me no receipt and ask me to pull to the front.
After waiting 20 minutes i went inside because i should have just ordered my $30 fill up if i was going to wait this long already. The drive thru woman was giving the same 20-30 minute spiel but when the centrist gentleman says he'd wait she began cursing. F that customer i told him it would be a while etc.
An elder short lady with tattoos asked if she could help me. I told her what happened. She said if i would have ordered the tenders it would have been faster because the ovens were at 220 and they need to be at 240. I told her i did order the tenders to avoid the wait but was still waiting. I said I'd like to speak to the manager she stated she was. She said my order would be out in 4 minutes because they turn off their ovens at 730.
I asked if they were off at 730 why was i able to wait 20 minutes for more chicken? And why were the ovens at 220? I said never mind I've been waiting 35 minutes now and would like a refund. She stated she couldn't give me a refund because the manager Marciel? Just left. I said she told me she was the manager. After 40 minutes i left with no food and no refund. I called the franchise and 24hrs later have still not revived a reply about my refund.

I spent $11 and change for 4 piece of fragmented chicken tenders a side (mashed potatoes are cheap dehydrated potatoes that look like fish flakes smh with disgust and after your 3 mouthfuls you can’t even call it real gravy)when it’s powder stored into water.) The smallest biscuit which is never served with honey or that gross cheap butter flavored spread. Need I remind everyone flour is the main ingredient here Cheap to make KFC food the mark up here has to be higher than popcorn. Cheap because there meals are portioned out for a child. And this all comes with a drink please…. (ice tea is cheap to make. save your money circle K is on the way.). Don’t waste your time the food is much like eating paper. Tasteless and will leave you hungry minutes later. The food is not worth the price . I won’t be back for the simple fact that I can get better food else where for the amount I paid. It’s not about the price until the price is way too high for the product. Trust me my camera phone made this look bigger than what I really got. Panda Express is across the street from this location go eat there they charge less give you decent portions and taste great.
