Rancheros Carnicería — Restaurant in Tucson

If I could just give this place a 0 starts I WOULD I don’t know where to start, I was there WEDNESDAY JULY 30th and from far away I see the some butcher from the meat section blowing his nose with gloves, I thought he might change them later and even wash his hands NO! This man continued to cut meat.. He even moved some trash cans around with the SAME gloves.. and gave service to a customer WITH THE SAME GLOVES!!!! I continued shopping decide to buy some tortillas when I get home I see a HAIR on the package of RANCHEROS CARNICERÍA. I call the store on Thursday Evening and asked for the meat guy apparently his name is “Edwan” then they tell me that the tortillas are from Mexico that they don’t have nothing to do with them?? Made me even more confused, because they had told me those were made there.. the lady on the other side just kept saying nonsense.. I already reported this with health...

Have enjoyed Rancheros for the past several visits.

However tonight, their prices had gone up excessively; the young lady at the register did not know her menu (and did not speak English) and we were made to feel very unwelcome.

How sad!

Just stopped in for tortillas (which I only do if company is visiting). The price had gone up AGAIN and are now virtually unaffordable.

Also grabbed some queso fresco. Be careful! Most of the packages had sell by dates of 5 days ago.

Ended up with a pocket full of coins since the cash register didn't have enough paper to properly make change for a 20.

And to top it off, one of their patron's had parked his truck in the access lane instead on the parking lot making it difficult to leave the parking lot.

This place is amazing, amazing, amazing! On a Monday morning I needed great tortillas for tonight's dinner. Typically I don't mind driving far even with these gas prices if the carniceria is worth it, but I was only planning on getting tortillas. So I looked up places near me and read reviews. Turns out this place is literally around the corner from me & it had 4.9 star rating. Walked out with way more than tortillas. This WILL be my corner butcher. It's an immaculate store and you can see they are so proud of their store. They are happy to give you samples (which is why I had to keep buying everything... so damn good!) This is the best of the best and I'm thrilled with the location. But honestly if this is a bit far for you, I promise you it's worth the...
