Oddly enough, Google double posted this review and when I went to delete one of them, both went missing so here it is again...
The fact they ask $19.00 for a pepperoni pizza is an insult to begin with given it has the exact same flavor, crust, and texture of an $8.00 store bought frozen "gourmet" pizza brand.
The service is beyond unprofessional: I was the only one who initially walked in during the evening on the 1st of January 2024, but when others entered it was the same; none of the workers say "hello" or welcome you in asking "how are you / how was your new years?" I had to ask where to order, was not sure where to pay, and as I expect this from a younger generation of staff, even the 40 or 50 some year old man working there didn't respond or acknowledge me when I said hello to him. So 3 workers and it's the most dead feeling and not a good atmosphere.
Ironically, I had more of a conversation with the elderly woman there; she came in after myself and I believe she was an affiliate of sorts bringing in display goods for the restaurant. I will agree with the other low reviews on yelp regarding this establishment's poor service.
There were only one or two pick up orders to my recollection as well so they were not busy. I waited almost 40 minutes for just a large one topping pizza. It was if they procrastinated to prep it because it wasn't in the oven for more than 10-15 minutes.
Notice on the receipt as well where they charge an additional .99 cents on an "order over $20" when the pizza was only $19.00 to begin with! What a bunch of cons!
If the owner is going to respond with, "sorry for your experience." and "thanks for your feedback, this helps us improve." or something generic like that, know they aren't going to hire a better staff or create a better product. It's clearly evident given their feedback history.
Go to Dominick's, Sgt. Pepperoni's, Upper Crust, or anywhere else in Tucson where they actually value their customers and make...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHighly unsatisfied from the owner to the environment. Yesterday was my first time visiting piezanos and was definitely the last there was an employee cursing at the bar while there was children in the restaurant including my own. I ordered the zano wings tried one ( order of twelve) and didnāt not like them. They were soggy and I didnāt like the flavor so I told the server Iād just want me money back and when I got my receipt the wings were still on there confused I asked her why she said we can give them to you at the happy hour price I told her no iād rather just get my money back then the owner comes to my table and I explained to him the wings werenāt what I exspected nothing personal but Iād rather just get my money back then he goes on to tell me it doesnāt work that way if you donāt like something you still need to pay for it just never go to that restaurant again. I feel like in a business especially a food business you want to gain customers not piss them off to where they will never spend another dime in your place again, not that one customer is going to make it make the business but if he spoke and treated me that way I can only imagine Iām probably one of many. Which is probably why the place was so dead I told him Iām paying for a service and if Iām not satisfied with the service Iām not paying for it. He didnāt charge me for the wings its just so sad that the owner didnāt care enough about his business heās allowing people to leave with such a bad taste in their mouth. If you want over priced pizza, soggy wings, horrible customer service piezanos is the place...
Ā Ā Ā Read more5 Stars! PieZanos Helped Me Heal, no doubts about it!
I discovered PieZanos about three weeks ago while I was in the hospital recovering from a rough 10-day bout of pneumonia. Out of curiosity (and hunger), I found them on DoorDash and decided to give them a shotāand Iām so glad I did.
Being from the East Coast, Iām pretty "snobby " when it comes to pizzas; from the water, to the yeast, not too forget the sauces. It all matters!
I ordered a half-pepperoni pie, well done cook, and what I received was absolute perfection. The crust was beautifully crisp, the pepperoni had that ideal curl and char, and the cheese had this incredible smokey flavor that tasted like it came straight out of a brick oven.
But the real MVP? The wings. To die for. Big, juicy, packed with flavor, and cooked extra crispy just the way I asked. The Zanos sauce (I order the wings wet with sauce) is the perfect blend of tangy, sweet, and spicy. Iāve ordered this exact same comboāwell-done; half-pepperoni pizza and Zanos wingsāthree times in three weeks. Itās that good.
I honestly credit PieZanos for speeding up my recovery. It became something to look forward to while stuck in bed, and now itās a solid part of my rotation. I havenāt even touched the rest of the menu yet because this combo is a straight-up home run.
Donāt hesitate. Just order it....
