Love, love, LOVE this space on 4th Ave in Downtown Tucson!!

I was recently in town visiting family and noticed it while having a weekend night out for some drinks on Fourth Avenue - I’m not sure how new it is but I hasn’t seen it before and thought it looked pretty cool!

Its Boxyard name comes from the various shipping containers that make up most of the buildings inside. It reminded me of Container Park in Las Vegas and similar places in Downtown Austin. I’m very excited that Tucson has a place like this now too!!

We were there on a Saturday night, so it was very crowded with a DJ playing in the back, yet it was still open and spacious enough to have plenty of breathing room.

I also loved how there’s more than one bar for grabbing drinks at and a few food options - we got a couple of smash burgers from Daddyburger inside and they were GREAT!! Took a little while to be ready but it was a busy Saturday night, so understandable. Definitely make sure to add the arugula and pickles to it - loved the extra textures and crunch. The burger hit the spot and the fries were solid McDonald’s type fries.

Other food options inside included a Mexican food/burrito spot with several vegan options and also a sandwiches/snacks thing!

We ended up just eating, drinking, and dancing to the music the whole night there. It was a blast!!

I've known about the boxyard for some time and I really wanted to go and I finally had the opportunity today. It is July and it is monsoon so we took our chances and we went. I was super excited because I love the Nhu Lan Vietnamese food truck and I love the idea of the Percheron bacon wrapped burrito. I ordered the special combination Banh Mi which is the yummy meatloaf that nobody really understands what it is except for Vietnamese people it's the meatloaf their grandmother's made and they use for sandwiches and over rice and noodle dishes and just for snacks 😁 and some yummy cured pork and the best baguette ♥️ Then I ordered the Percheron bacon wrapped burrito the Sonora style, my husband wanted to try it so we decided to split it it was nothing short of amazing!!♥️🔥🔥🔥 the bacon is so thin it wraps around the flour tortilla like a big hug and it's not overwhelming like you would think. The diezmillo beef is perfectly seasoned and the entire bite was so good I can only equate it to a few times in my life as a chef and as a human as being exquisite ... exquisito♥️ The atmosphere was awesome! There were cute dogs everywhere 😀 amazing selection of local craft breweries... the entire place was just such a great place to hang out. The bathrooms were clean and very functional there was also a bbq option and a Indian twist option. I would recommend this to groups, couples .. there were even families there with small children....anyone really! a great space to hang...

My fiancé and have been here before and had a great time, great service and it was great atmosphere. However, we went here for my fiancé’s brothers 21st birthday with some other family member and had the worst experience that will never make us come back anymore even though it was one of our favorite places. One of the brothers who were there first, went up to the bartender on his own and asked her the bars on tap and she did not seem happy to be bothered about a simple question. Then some time later, two other people from our group went up to get drinks and they had the same experience with the bartender on duty. Then me and my fiancé went up for our round of drinks and asked for our drinks and two incorrect drinks were made but we only noticed one at the time. When I told the bartender the drink was wrong, she rolled her eyes in annoyance and said they don’t have the ingredients. She could’ve saved the time for herself and told us from the beginning that they didn’t have the ingredients. The bartender was just overall rude and snappy and you could tell she did not want to be there or care for her attitude. We have been there before and never had an issue. Different people in the group went up at different times and she was rude to every single one of them and she did not know we were all together.
