The Taco Spot (Tucson) — Restaurant in Tucson

To be fair the food was good, though I specifically ordered tacos with consomme sauce, it came with the order! Expressed I live far and was already hating the fact the food would be soggy by the time I reached home. Bag given tied up so I didn't untie to ensure the sauce wouldn't leak ....only to find out later I didn't have the sauce!!!!! WTH!!! JUST some spicy hot sauce and green sauce I never asked for! I was so pissed because they were closed by the time I reached home! I don't eat out, too scary to eat from places though I visited Tacospot in PHX fell in love with Cantaloupe juice! My son is my go to when I want birria and we not Spanish in no shape form or fashion and his sauce I could drink! No match yet! Though Tucson Tacospot if I pay 14+ for taco with consomme sauce it is what I expect! Piss me off the whole night, and today! Though the tacos were good would have been better with my sauce I paid for yet not received! I'm a size 4-6 I fluctuate! So not a big person raging about food, just a person who wants what I pay for...broke my lil heart...

We tried this place since I had seen good reviews on fb about its grand opening. (Right off the bat, seating is limited. If you take a family of more than 3 ppl & kids, they don’t have tables suitable for you. The biggest table is high up and kids would fall off for sure.) I got the birria ramen with quesabirrias on the side platter, my kids got the pollo asado loaded fries & my husband got the pollo asado burro with a taco & fries platter. They took a good while preparing food even though it wasn’t busy, they got my husbands burro wrong so I took it back and he waited a ridiculous amount of time to get a new one, the portions were small & not much garnish or toppings on them. We felt it was expensive for the amount of food we received. &&&& to top it off my kids & husband got food poisoning from the chicken. I was the only one that didn’t get sick because I got the birria, which I really liked btw. Needless to say, we won’t...

Place looks great, but the food doesn’t match. Yall should invest more into what makes the business great, the food, vs having a very nice atmosphere only to be let down by the food.

I got the burrito and fries. One of the my very least liked burritos ever. It was filled with about 20% asada and the rest was mostly lettuce. At that the beef was a 3/10. And I was still hungry with this small portion.

The birria tacos were okay I would give them a 6/10.

Birria ramen was good about a 6.5/10 and the best item out of my order. But for $20 is crazy.

Overall it was okay and I’d give it a 3, but because I spent $75 on mediocre Mexican food it gets a 2.
