I was able to share this restaurant experience with my husband and 2 kids when we traveled to Tucson. I have been to a bunch of mexican food places. I feel as if this restaurant represents the local food of Tucson. The rich deep flavor that comes through in their food shows that they take time and pride in making their food. There are many different choices on the menu from piping hot Albondigas soup to the TACOBIRRIAS, Sonoran Hot Dogs, Tacos and Burros, with all sorts of meat options. They are very friendly. Tucked away on Saint Marys Road in Tucson, Toto’s Tacos Restaurant is a hidden gem worth discovering. During my visit, I ordered the birria burro and toritos, both of which were absolutely delicious. The flavors were authentic and satisfying, making it a memorable meal.

While indoor seating is limited to just three tables, the restaurant compensates with plenty of covered outdoor seating, providing a comfortable dining experience even on a hot day. The prices are reasonable, offering great value for the quality of the food.

I spent $32.59 on two orders of their shredded beef tacos combination plates and a large horchata drink. The shredded meat looked and tasted like ground beef with mashed potatoes. I did not like them. The rice was dry and had minimal flavor and thirdly the beans didn't have any real taste. They were plain and didn't have enough salt. The Horchata was the only item I enjoyed. We decided to give this place a try since it was open on a Sunday but that did not go well. To top it off after we were done eating we were still hungry. We will not be returning to this restaurant.
