I rarely write reviews, especially bad ones, about local places but this restaurant was bad on so many levels that I felt I needed to. When we walked in to eat, first thing that hit us was how loud it is. This is mainly caused by the fact that there is nothing on the walls to absorb the sound. So, the sound just bounces off the walls and creates a very noisy environment. It wasn’t decorated either. Just concrete walls with bar in the middle.
They brought out bread to start but the bread was hard with no flavor.
We ordered the caprese salad to start and it was boring, small, and with little flavor. For the main meal, I ordered the pesto pasta and my wife ordered the linguini with meatballs. My meal was basically just a big bowl of pasta mixed with pesto. It was unappetizing and I ended the meal after having taken just a few bites. There was nothing that came with it to make it appetizing, such as tomatoes. My wife didn’t like her meal either.
The price was expensive too. Our meal consisted of two pasta dishes, one caprese salad, and two waters. Total with tip was $79. I could have made something much better in just a few minutes for much less.
Overall, they need to work on creating a better atmosphere, spice up their food, get some things to absorb the sound, and keep a lid on...
Read moreLet me start with the food and waiter were great. But sadly, Dalesandro's conquered the hardest parts only to fail on the many small parts which are still very important.
First, made online reservation from their website. I even took a screenshot of the confirmation only to arrive and find our name not on the list. I was told their online reservations don't often work. Ridiculous, but okay because they had seats available. Second, booth was torn and ragged but that wasn't as bad as the every movement you feel from your next door booth neighbor. Even the cheapest of diners have better booths. Third, picture bolted to wall with an amazing amount of dust. Hint... a wrench and duster could clean it up in a few minutes. And lastly, the neighbor booth decides to play the football game on their phone. Unlucky for us, they make sure everyone in the restaurant can hear it. Management does nothing while many customers give the look of disbelief. Now if I'm in a sports bar, not a problem but a nice Italian restaurant with no TVs, pretty irritating.
Food was great, but mark this down as my one and only visit. Sad since I live only 3 blocks away and love good Italian. Looks like I stick with Brookside or Cherry Street and highly...
Read moreThis review is way past due. My friend and I went into this restaurant (June 20th) with the intention to just grab a drink or two as we waited for a concert to start at The Shrine. Let me tell you, I wish I hadn't already eaten that day before going in. I would have loved to be hungry enough to try a full dish from the menu. The stuff on the menu looked so good that I decided to at least try something small. I went with the Caprese, and let me tell you, it was amazing!! To top it off, the gentlemen running the bar brought us some meatballs on the house, and those meatballs were super amazing!! I got enough of a taste of this place to know that it will be a must to go here the next time I'm in Tulsa. I liked the chill vibe of the place as well. We almost went into a bar across the street, but it seemed too loud and roudy, which is why we ended up here. 10 out of 10, definitely don't pass this place up no matter if you live in Tulsa, are just passing through or only there for a day or a few days. Put this one on your list and skip the...
