IHOP — Restaurant in Tulsa

I’ve been to the location on 71st and memorial a few times and never have I ever had customer service like I did today. The waitress Crystal came to the table with an attitude took our drink/ food order. Long story short my son dropped his cup of water on the floor (which did not spill) so I asked her if he could get another one since it was on the floor? Crystal picks the cup off the table then slams it on the next. Once our food came out I told her that I ordered chicken fried steak and she said this is chicken fried chicken we are out of steak. (Okayyy do I have a choice to pick something else)? So I kept the food because I hate sending any food back. Then my 5 year old asks for Ketchup and she basically ignored him so I asked again then she brings the Ketchup back and slams it on the table. By then my family and I are fed up because we’re constantly getting attitude from the waitress and I still hadn’t got water for my son. My mother walks up to the front counter to ask for water because at that point we didn’t want her bringing us anything else. Crystal seen my mother going to front and was trying to stop her asking what do you need? " I can get you water this is my section." My mother told her I do not want you to bring me any water you act like you’re too busy to help us. She then asked are you going up there to speak to a manger? Once she brought our check to the table she just sat them down in a pile to have us figure out who’s was who and would never hand us anything but sit it all on the table. My point is that she ONLY had an attitude with us and we were nothing but nice but was smiling with the next customers. I’m only giving 1 star because me and my husband got food poisoning from this place after eating here. My stomach was hurting all night even after eating tums and Still happening in the morning running to the bathroom like no more tomorrow and feeling nauseous. Waitress Cassidy R. Was so disgusting to me. All I did was kindly ask her about the pictures on the pancakes looking for the chocolate ones since I’m not familiar about this place. She asks my husband first what he wants to eat and no one is talking after he tells her what he wants so I ask her a question nicely if I’m able to switch to different pancakes and she rudely and passively aggressively stops me and says for me to let her finish my husband eventhough I waited for her or my husband to not talk to ask that question. No where in time was I once disrespectful to her but only her being disrespectful to me. I apologized too after she rudely stopped me from asking my question. My husband went to the restroom and she comes out with the food which I was shocked cause food came fast. I commented and said “Wow, food came out really fast, thank you!” She wouldn’t look at me or even say anything to me which I brushed off. As soon as my husband came out, she started being fake nice and speaking only when he was there. Another white couple comes in and same lady wants the same pancake I want and she gives her 2 options of the chocolate chip pancakes, she gave me none. She decided what she wanted to give me when I heard that. Food was delicious but it came out in not the best ways since i have food poisoning from this place. IHOP used to be good. Now, it seems they may be understaffed and the quality of the food is subpar at best, especially for the price point. Pancakes were dry and burnt, toppings were lackluster and barely a dollop. Nothing like their lovely false adertising marketing photos. Fruit was not fresh, bananas were overripe, mushy, and black. Berries were definitely thawed from bagged frozen fruit. Soggy like they were boiled or something. My girlfriend and I specifically went because they used to have crispy potato pancakes, but not anymore. Also, they offer turkey bacon on their menu but 20 minutes after we ordered, we were told that they didn't have any. Just overall, the experience was very disappointing, from the moment we stepped in. I don't know if it was the supervisor or just another employee but he took his time working on the computer instead of acknowledging us and giving us a time frame of how long we should be waiting before being seated (no line was behind us). Once we were finally seated we didn't see our waiter for at least 10 minutes. She was the only kind employee there, and we would have left if not for her. Likely overworked and underpaid. Left her a good tip specifically so that she could get paid instead of paying at the front. Overall, not coming back again. Going to stick to small business diners with much more personal service, good prices, and better quality food. IHOP isn't what it used to be. Go somewhere else if you want quality...
