Jumbo's Hamburgers — Restaurant in Tulsa

A little deli serving hamburgers, sandwiches, gyros and salads. My wife went with a cheese burger and fries and I had a gyro value meal, (gyro, hummus, and tabouli). The cheese burger received her approval along with complements for the good portion of crispy fries. The gyro I had, was certainly one of the better gyros I have had in Tulsa. Loaded with gyro meat, fresh tomato, lettuce, onion and a slightly garlicy flavored yogurt. A couple of things stood out on my meal besides the great gyro meat. First the pita. Nicely warmed, soft with a light toasting. Then the tabouli. This was the freshest tabouli I have ever had in any restaurant anywhere. It had to be just made. The parsley was still crisp and crunchy. Excellent! The hummus was average. As you can see from the many pictures, the restaurant is small, clean and nicely decorated. Friendly service! I ordered via grubhub a cheese burger, tatertots, onion rings, and a 4 way chili. The burger was average in every way with two patties and the stand accompaniment of toppings. The tatertots were decent. The onion rings were massive but you only get 4 as a result. They did take care to vent the order box to combat steam making the breading, not batter, soggy. The chili I had a problem with. 4 way chili is chili with spaghetti, beans, and cheese. The spaghetti just barely held its form; as if it is not ordered often and has been sitting in hot water for days making for an unpleasant texture. The beans were cooked well...and that is rest of the problem. The beans being cooked well have a firm texture but with the mush of spaghetti, you get an unpleasant clash of textures. The guys that work here are the absolute best. I'm a regular here and I'll admit I don't switch up my order often but they give you a great feeling when they know exactly what you want when you come in even down to what toppings you may or may not want and if you watch and listen when there is a line, they'll even know what everyone else wants. That takes care. The burgers are some of my favorites in Tulsa. I wasn't big on jalapeños until I started coming here and they put jalapeños on my burger. Sometimes it's the jalapeno relish which is even better. The fries are crispy and cooked to perfection every time I have managed to stop by with my wife. She always goes for a sandwich. Usually the three cheese avocado and she leaves nothing left on her plate everytime. Aside from when she graciously let's me eat on what's left of her fries. Definitely recommend for a quiet, great...
