I think this restaurant is trying, and there were only two people working today. I don’t know if this is family owned or what but I hope it gets better for them. It was an empty space with the occasional pick up. Maybe it was an off day, but I for one will not be back.
I’ve been free of animal products for over 20 years. I don’t eat their flesh or their lactations by intent. Thankfully dairy just makes me sick and I’m not like those with allergies like alphagal.
The food arrived and it was meat/ dairy. So I promptly returned it to the counter where she seemed like I put her out. They replaced our sandwiches and even though the falafel was great, but the sandwiches were smothered in dairy I assume. I reached out later for an answer and got none. You can imagine that after the first return to the counter, a second felt really out of the question. Lastly my food had a large hair in it.
The restaurant was freezing and their chairs/ bathroom needed to be cleaned.
I’m so thankful they’re trying to offer vegan, but someone there needs to take the offering seriously. Tulsa has a very large, very food centric vegan community that goes out of their way to support businesses that support us. A little dairy is completely unacceptable. That’s vegetarian. Please, please make adjustments to fit your menu offering or mark it...
Read moreDeeply disappointing. The cheese sticks were very undercooked, very pale and yellow breading instead of crispy and browned. Plus they did not come with any dipping sauce. The gyro meat meal had a good portion of each item- gyro meat, tabouli, pita with a tiny container of tzatziki, and "hummus". However, the meat was the only thing done correctly. The tzatziki was very runny and thin and zero cucumbers in it, and the quality of the yogurt they used to make it left plenty to be desired. The "hummus" was extremely thin and confused me until I realized it was either 100%, or VERY close to 100%, tahini. Pregnant people should watch out, don't eat a full serving of that as if it were hummus, large portions of sesame seeds and sesame oil can cause unwanted contractions! The pita was decent in flavor but very thin. And ironically the tabouli, which ought to be soaked in its vinegar dressing for a while before serving, was dry! It was basically a fresh chopped cilantro salad LIGHTLY tossed in a tiny amount of vinegar.
Overall, I expected better due to the restaurant's overall rating, but came away hungry from being unable to eat half of the meal I ordered. Please look up authentic recipes for the above items and make them correctly by hand for a while, customers will thank you for improving...
Read morerecently had the pleasure of trying the chicken shawarma at Greek to Me and I can confidently say it was one of the best I've had.
The chicken was perfectly seasoned—tender, juicy, and packed with bold Mediterranean flavors. You could taste the balance of garlic, cumin, paprika, and a touch of lemon that gave the meat a vibrant and authentic taste. It was grilled just right, with those slightly crispy edges that add an extra layer of flavor and texture.
What really elevated the dish was how it was served. The warm, fluffy pita bread was fresh and soft, and the accompanying toppings—cool, crisp lettuce, ripe tomatoes, tangy red onions, and a generous drizzle of creamy tzatziki—brought everything together beautifully. Every bite had a satisfying mix of warmth, crunch, and zest.
Portion size was generous, and the plate presentation was clean and inviting. The shawarma came with a side of golden fries and a small Greek salad, which made the meal feel complete without being overly heavy.
Whether you're a shawarma lover or new to Mediterranean cuisine, this dish is a must-try. Greek to me really nailed the flavors and execution. I’ll definitely be back for...
