On Sheridan. I like sushi. Not all of it in Tulsa is as fresh as I'd like it. Even at some of the more well known Tulsa sushi places. This was some of the freshest I've ever eaten here, in Tulsa, or LA, DFW, Houston, San Francisco.
I was more than pleasantly surprised. I met the owner, as he works the restaurant. He is originally from Burma. It was so good that as I drove past the next day, not wanting to cook as I'm single and was tired from an almost 10 hour day, I was passing, did a U-turn and went in again to try another dish. The Mongolian beef, rice and egg rolls. When it was brought to my table- I'm serious- my eyes widened👀😀! The presentation looked even better than the best mouth watering pictures you always see advertised and the food NEVER gets close to looking like the picture (I'm sure you know what i mean). And tasted just as good as it looked! Try it out, you'll be presently surprised. I've only been 2X, and I'm looking forward to my next visit next week.
SIAN RESTAURANT 3530 S Sheridan Rd, Tulsa, OK 74145
I sent this to Tulsa People magazine as I think they would love the food I've now 1/30/23 eaten at Sians' over 30x in the past year. The food and service are always top notch. Ya Gotta try this place. You'll...
Read moreSome time back, The Wife and I were out running errands and I suggested we stop by Sian for lunch. We both love Asian food, and I in particular like sushi, so I thought this would be a win/win. The place itself isn't overly fancy, but it's pretty clean and mostly well maintained. Situated on Sheridan between 31st and 41st, it sits in a neighborhood not known for being upscale by any means. We ordered a beef lo mein, and another dish that I can't remember. It had beef, vegetables, etc., dumplings and a sushi roll for me. Overall, the food was good, but not especially memorable. I'd read reviews about how great the sushi was, as well as other dishes, but honestly, I didn't find anything that would drag me back in. The sushi was good, but unremarkable, while the lo mein was fairly flavorful, if not over sauced, which is a common problem. As said, it was good, just not memorable. Probably wouldn't make an...
Read moreI LOVE THIS PLACE! I typically do not leave Google reviews, but I definitely have to put my rating down for Sian. My wife and I travel a lot and we have tried food from all over the world. This is one of the very few, if not the only place I can say where they have a variety of food where it is all delicious. Owner is super nice and so accommodating that I have to take a trip here every time I'm in town.
Everyone's taste is different, but my favorites here are the Singapore noodles (freaking amazing), Pad Thai (they put their own twist to it and it's so good), Volcano roll (or even any sushi rolls), and their poke. I've had Pad Thai from freaking Thailand and I would prefer how they do the Pad Thai here. I can go on and on with this review, but definitely check this place out. It is so underrated I think and they truly deserve more...
