So we finally decided to try Kazama. We used to come here to the restaurant before Kazama. We have tried other Ramen bars in Broken Arrow and Tulsa hills. The only one that was actually good was Jinya down town. But not any more. We walked into a nice chill happy environment. Hostess/waitress was super nice and seated us right away. They have a little bar you can sit at. I was expecting mainly ramen in the menu. They had a mixture of items that I want to go back and try. We ordered some edamame which was good of course and I had to try the crab lagoons. They came out hot and crispy. The dipping sauce was very citrusy and complemented the stuffing very good. I could have eaten all of them myself but I saved a couple for my wife. I ordered the Tonkatsu black ramen, which is pork broth and pork Chasu. This is the 1st ramen bar where you can taste that they grill the chase 1st before putting it on top of the ramen. It added another flavor to it. I liked it a lot. No other place did this. And if they did, they didn't do it right. The boiled egg was so yummy. The broth was creamy and flavorful. Once I started with the ramen I didn't stop until i was looking at the bottom of the bowl. Of course I lifted the bowl and tipped it up to make sure I got every drop of broth. We will definitely be going back with my kids and again with some friends. My wife brought the rest of her ramen home. If she doesn't eat it soon I...
Read moreI don’t know where to start. Yes the location is very nice love that model of the place where they have a mini bar slash boot tables. Kid friendly. The staff is nice and clean. The menu looked delicious it was the food for me. I grabbed the ramen spicy pork Which was the tastiest thing. I enjoyed it, wasn’t too spicy it was accurate on mild terms. My pork though it was soooooo thin like thin and only had two little pieces that I was like dammm that’s the whole point lol but it was okay I couldn’t stand it but ate it, or maybe I got there late who knows!. My kids grabbed the noodles my four year old did not like it she said it wasn’t no flavor which it pretty much didn’t maybe because it’s a kids menu but yes no flavor just buttery with the condiments of the noodle boil that’s how it tasted like. We did grab the dumplings which those yes those were a five star very juicy and gooood. My husband ordered a plate the name can’t recall but it looked like a thick noodle kind of like a drunken noodle chow mein mix with beef and noooo the plate looked sooo different the noodles looked like fine angel pasta noodle and not savory very dry like the kids pasta mixed with beef. Too bad for that. Like I said i don’t know if we arrived late or busy throughout the day and we got the last who knows. I wouldn’t only go again for ramen and dumplings...
Read moreKazama, doesn’t he have a TV show. No wait, that’s Karamo. Never mind.
A cold windy day, soup day!
I liked this little restaurant as soon as we walked in. Small, clean, nicely decorated. A very comfortable feel. Jia was handling all the customers. A fantastic, attentive, efficient waitress. Just a couple of folks in the restaurant when we walked in at 2PM. They kept coming. Last minute Christmas shoppers I suppose, taking a break for a late lunch.
Pictures and descriptions of the appetizers had me drawn to the restaurant. The Harumaki and the Kazama Jalapeno Peppers. The Huramaki good. The Kazama Jalapeno Peppers were amazing, mind blowing little green trays of flavor. Crunchy, sweet, savory, spicey, rich. Appetizers were followed by a big delicious bowl of spicey chicken noodle soup for me and a boring vegetable Pad Thai for my wife. The soup was perfectly warming spicey and filling. Very good! Do not eat here without ordering the Kazama Jalapeno Peppers.
Very enjoyable, excellent food, recommended.
My hatred for Sriracha bottle nozzle boogers in Asian Restaurants is unrestrainable. See the pictures. Minus 1 star. Fortunately, the flavorful food did not need any help. Just clean the damn bottles. Who wants to use a condiment bottle with a big black booger...
