AFRO- FLAVOURZ — Restaurant in Tulsa

So I patronized Flavourz for their grand opening Saturday March 4th 2023, a few kinks to work out on the ordering side as expected with a grand opening. However, the food was on point. I ordered a 4/20 and Papa Smurf mixed slushy along with the seafood grits, an egg over medium with fried potatoes. To start off the grits were seasoned and a nice size portion for the price… average price for grits around town, however being that it is seafood grits the price beats out others in town. Now they do have options for your grits at an additional cost, your options are lump crab meat, crawfish, shrimp and fish. The seafood sauce to top the grits off was enough seafood to fulfill your seafood craving. The potatoes I thought were going to be bland however they had flavor. I only had one drink and it hit the spot for brunch. The atmosphere for a Saturday morning was FLAVOURZ! The staff AMAZING! It was busy and they made sure everything was on point and each guest taken care of. I can not wait to come back this evening to see what the night vibes are hitting on. Updated Review on 02/10/24 (from 5 stars to 3 stars): My son ordered a 2 piece fish dinner and called to ask what I wanted. I had a 1 piece pork chop with a side (loaded fries) and salad. Although the fries were delicious, I could not believe the size of the pork chop that I was given!😲 It was the size of a lamb chop. As I stated in my previous review, I really liked the pork chops. However, what I was given this time is mind-boggling, considering my order was $15 (an extra fee to make the fries 'Loaded'). Further, I had a 1/2 of a pork chop. Lastly, I like consistency when I patronize food spots, so this was a real disappointment...smh. Photos are from my 1st/previous visit and NOT this one in 2024

1st time here, and I Luv this place! The gentleman tht greeted me (believe 1 of the owners) was really friendly and down-2-earth. The waitress Pinky was really cool and she helped me with my order. I liked all of my food, ESPECIALLY the pork chops. I wish the wings would've been cooked harder or crisper. However, it was seasoned with perfection. I'm not really a drinker, but I wanted to try out their 'daiquiri to go'. Pinky says she mixes all of her flavors, so I told her to do mine the same way. All I can say is, I didn't even drink a 1/4, maybe 2 small sips and couldn't drink anymore...it was potent AND good tho, lol!!!😋😄 I really like it here and will return w/My Hubby, so we can have brunch on a Sat. or Sun. Someone told me to go here, I’m a food critic and I caters. I don’t like the fact they charge you when they take your order if you dine in? The waitress never came and gave us more water, took forever to get our food, and the bread was hard and dry, asked for more l, never got it, I placed a to go order, 2 pork chop dinner, waitress said she would put it in when we let her know! We let her know she came right back with it already bagged up! Which told me it was just sitting there not fresh, got it home, it was 1 pork chop and taste like old fish grease!!! It was awful. And to top it all off, I checked my Bankcard they charged me twice for this horrible service. If you’re going to have a successful business it’s very important to have great customer service experience. Now I’m going to call them to put my double payment back on my card!!!! I Pray they get...
