I went here on their second day of opening. The interior was very decorative. There is a bar. There are three tvs. There is music playing. I sat down and ordered the enchilada Supreme for 11.49. It came with a cheese, a beef, a bean and a shredded chicken enchilada topped with lettuce, tomato, mole and sour cream. I also ordered a side of refried beans and rice. The refried bean enchilada was forgettable. The ground beef enchilada was basic. The cheese enchilada was decent. The shredded chicken enchilada was surprisingly good. The side of rice was as forgettable as the beans. The male server was either nervous, new to serving or both, as he was all over the place. However, he was attentive to my needs, was quick with his service, and polite. Having the hostess stand four feet away from a customer booth is very inconvenient servers and customers. Overall I was unimpressed. It is just another tex-mex place for people with an aversion to spice (heat) and flavor.

The Mexican restaurants just keep coming. The Mi Pueblo restaurant cartel is spreading out to get their piece of the pie. Their other restaurants are in Sand Springs and the OKC area. I have been to the Sand Springs restaurant and enjoyed it. Both are consistent in quality, flavorful food and good service. As you would expect from an OkieMex restaurant, their menu encompasses all things Mexican food and drinks. [Their large Menu can be found online] Mi Pueblo is not a phenomenal stand out from the hordes, but certainly a good place to dip a chip and appreciate a cold fermented agave drink. Solid OkieMex. For other reviews laced with superfluous, time-wasting inessential information, sarcastic diatribe and subjective opinion, follow Spike Speedwell on Google and Spike S. on Yelp

This was my first time at Mi Pueblo and it was wonderful. My friends ordered the margarita tower and it was a big success. I did not try it, but the table loved it. The food was incredible as well. Not at all expensive compared to taste and portion size. The staff was incredibly friendly and diligently refilled our drinks and cleared the table. A great first impression. There was a downside. I was struck with food poisoning that night. Their la casa special (shrimp) was the only thing I ate that day. I'm the only one of my friends to get food poisoning, so I'm guessing it was the shrimp. I've been fighting it off for 3 days now, slowly getting better. It's a shame because this resteraunt was a winner, but I don't think I'll stomach a return visit.

Tonight, at the Mi Pueblo on Yale; we ordered Long Island Iced Teas to accompany our meal. The drinks were terrible; they tasted like a margarita mixed with with gin, Sprite, and iced tea, served warm, we had to request glasses of ice. After the second sip, none of us could tolerate any more.

One member of our group went and spoke privately to the manager he refused to offer a replacement or any compensation, simply stating, "There is nothing I can do."

When I approached him at the register, he reiterated that they cannot reuse or replace alcoholic drinks, unlike food (which is an alarming statement that food can be reused).

This is unacceptable when at the very least any other type of beverage could have been offered; yet there was no effort made to resolve or rectify the issue.

Buyer beware: any poor-quality alcohol beverage at Mi Pueblo must be paid for in full, with no compensation or remedy provided. Play it safe: order water.

I have been asked to edit my review. I will not edit my review; because this is exactly what the manager said to me. While you on the other hand simply state "we have a policy in place for drinks, especially mixed drinks" is the policy no matter how bad the drink is we do nothing to remedy this situation? Your server could clearly see that we did not drink the beverages the glasses were full. I stand by my review, and I do not give reviews that are not accurate. I am calling out a policy that needs to change, if you have so many drinks returned that you have to make a policy like this, then perhaps there are other issues that...

Atmosphere: 9/10 - makes you feel comfortable. Not to casual, but not to formal. Pretty standard Tex-mex seating if not nicer because it's new. Themed seating.

Service: 10/10 you never be left waiting. Fast efficient service, and the waiters always pay attention. Our waiter was Louise and was great!

Food: 8/10 the quality is great. The kitchen staff put effort into each dish, and nothing is half made. The menu was very large, but not excessive. A step above the average Tex Mex, but still Tex Mex.

Definitely putting it in the rotation of Tex Mex, and a good place to take a group.

Salsa - blended with good season, a little heat (just enough to notice not enough to burn), and only critique would be that more cilantro would make it perfect

Rice - soft and well steamed. Very well cooked, if a little bland

Beans - incredibly smooth, but definitely heavily blended. Creamy texture

Taco - good if a bit basic

Chile relleno - Great! Definitely fried with Bread around it not breading. Subtle difference but it comes across

Tamales - definitely made very well! lots of love in this dishes, and not the standard Tex Mex tamale. Slightly more traditional spices.

The chile verde and chile Colorado (viva Mexico on menu) was absolutely the best dish we've tried...

This place is on point with everything. The atmosphere is great. The seating is either seats or benches, outside or inside, and they're comfortable.

Inside, there's seating for those waiting for takeout or to be seated. There's also a bar with a multitude of margaritas and beers to select.

The menu offers a variety of food to choose from, and it's all delicious! Is it the best Mexican food I've ever had? Sadly, no. I've eaten some bomb Mexican food in my time. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd rate this a solid 7.

The service is amazing! The staff here is super friendly and hard working. From my experience, they're on top of their game and keeping your refreshments filled.

It doesn't take long for the order to come to your table. I don't know how they do it. They're superhuman! We've had Albertlay be out server twice and he should be wearing a cape.

Seriously, I've been in Tulsa since 2014. I remember when this was a Hawaiian BBQ joint. It closed down and, later down the road, it became a Billy Sim's Hamburger joint. I've never seen this address get much in the way of customers until this place opened up, and it's jumping every time I come. Do yourself a favor and give this place a go. I don't think you'll be...
