I should have read reviews before stopping here as I am from out of town . Ordered an açaí bowl and when I got up to the window they told me they were out of açaí bowls. I told her to make it a Thai wrap and kale slaw and she said ok I will just get you that for the same price. After getting the receipt I realized that the Acai bowl was more than What I getting , she seemed confused and I needed to show her that I was correct. She then gave me the difference in cash even though I used a cc to order. After a long wait the order was handed to me with no Thank you . I started to drive away and noticed the kale slaw was on its side with the top off spilling in bag. I then took it inside and asked for money back and this is where she started to get irate telling me to treat her with respect and started speaking ‘ just because I’m black’ comments . Her employees were white and not sure why this came up since I never said anything regarding that . I ended up getting money back on cc and left and that’s when she says don’t ever come back. She said it wasn’t her fault cause she didn’t make the food. She also said she isn’t the owner so she doesn’t care about any bad reviews. This is when I found out she was the manager. If she is the manager then yes it is her fault. Total waste of time going there. I don’t write many bad reviews but felt like this deserved it .
I was polite during all my actions. I did take pictures for reference in case my cc still was charged but will not post at this time .
I went to smoothie king and had a much better experience

First, it took forever for the girl to answer at the drive-thru. During my order, I asked for an acai bowl. She kept talking to someone else, and I ended up having to repeat this part three times before she then told me, "Oh, we don't have any acai." She also repeatedly tries to end my order before I'm done ordering. THEN, without turning off her mic after I'm done ordering, she huffs under her breath and groans out "JESUS"... girl, I'm sorry, but if you'd have been paying attention, that would have been much easier for both of us. Additionally, I ordered a berry bliss. I ALWAYS order a berry bliss. It's my favorite smoothie, and I have it at least once a week. I have NO idea what they put in that, but it was disgusting. Like, not edible at all. It didn't taste anything like it was supposed to. It tasted like they used the bottom of the ice tray where there was freezerburned ice. I know you know what I'm saying. I didn't drink any of it and made my friend taste it just to make sure it was really as bad as I thought it was. My order id was: 2829924194312 and it was on 3/23/25 at 8:16pm. The girl that was so rude had black hair, with the bottom half undercut. I spent $28.58 feeding two people and $5 of that was thrown away, and the rest was the worst chicken pesto flatbread I've ever had at any location. I wish I'd read the reviews first because I have never had service or food of this low quality here. Read moreI’ll start on a positive note and say I’ve personally never gotten my order wrong by this Tropical Smoothie cafe. However, there are a few things that keep and have continued happening.
Initially, I order the chicken bacon ranch flatbread and they always forget to put extra ranch on my flatbread and I actually pay extra for this accommodation and they still always put the regular amount. Additionally, I’ve been to multiple locations and the smoothies always taste better from every other location except for this one. I come back to give them grace and another shot because they are in a convenient location however, they really taint my experience every time I go.
Specifically, I went this past evening 01/21/25, around 8:30pm and ordered my same order. Which was a chicken bacon ranch flatbread with a lil’ Limeberry and unfortunately my small smoothie had a bunch of ice chunks in it and I could barely drink it. My flatbread didn’t have the extra sauce on it either it was the same amount they always put on it. I do acknowledge it was close to closing time however I came 30 mins before close and took it Togo to for that very reason.
