We have been huge PF Changs fans since they opened many years ago and though we now live in Owasso, we drive to go there or order take out. About 9 months to a year ago, they changed their recipe for the Northern Style Spare Ribs which we used to order every time we ate there. The new recipe is nothing like the old dry rub and we therefore stopped ordering them. The other “ go to” dish that we always order is Mongolian Beef. It’s so yummy and tender! The other night, we got our takeout delivered and the Mongolian beef was so tough that we had to throw it out, which was particularly sad since we had ordered two of them! The pieces were little bits of shriveled meat as if they were the leftovers from the previous night. On top of that, we had paid for extra beef!!! Additionally, the shrimp dumplings come with 6 pieces, but that night, we received 5 pieces. I called PF Changs before we sat down to eat and explained that we had only received 5 dumplings. Further, we had been promised a gift card several months ago by the manager to make up for the spare ribs that weren’t anything like the old ones. That gift card never arrived. The other night, the manager very nicely said that she would send a gift card to us because of the shortage on our dumpling order and said that she would also send another gift card because we never received the one originally promised. All was okay until we started eating the Mongolian Beef which ended up being inedible. We always knew what we could expect and we typically loved the food so much, it was worth our splurge. However, after having to toss out two full dishes, being shorted on the other one, we decided that it was the very worst waste of $125 that we had ever spent! I will say that the peanut butter/chocolate pie was delicious but very tiny serving, particularly with what they charge. I’m not sure I know what has changed so drastically at PF Changs over time, but it just went off of our very short list of places we go to for a meal, as we typically eat all meals at home. It’s so disappointing. BTW, this is the very first negative review that I have ever written about...
Read moreUpon entering, the hostess was flirting with a guy at the bar, and we just stood there waiting for her to see us, but she was too busy flirting. It took the manager to come out and seat us. The manager did give her THE eye, and the hostess apologized to us. But yeah, that's how our dinner started. My boyfriend has never been here so we decided to finally go. He's a picky eater. He just wanted the combo rice. They had a special for 2, and we asked if the fried rice that they speak of can also be the combo rice, and our waiter assured us yes it could be." I kinda talked my boyfriend into that special since I liked everything that it came with, plus it was a great cheaper option compared to buying those items individually. Well, our waiter comes back and says after about 10 min of sitting there that he's sorry, but he made a mistake it wasn't part of the special. He said he could do it for like $6 to $7 extra. At that time, my boyfriend was like, "See! Told ya, " we actually kinda got into an argument over this. So just to keep the peace, I said let's just do it with the upcharge and not worry about it. So our bill came and our upcharge with tax was almost $15. To me, that's a BIG difference than $6. Also, I got asked if I wanted white or brown rice. So I said white and guess what I got? Brown rice! I don't like brown rice, but since it was 30 minutes before closing and we still had to eat our food. I didn't want to bother them remaking my fried rice. I've had many good experiences here b4 but this time from seating to ordering and getting the wrong food plus being charged more than we were told and all of this causing a tiny argument between my boyfriend and I.....they definitely messed our dinner night up that was supposed to...
Read moreThe food was great, but the service was awful. The waiter(Erik), was condescending and rude. My youngest is not an adventurous eater, but he agreed to give PF Chang’s a try. I was sure he would like it. My teenage son likes PF Chang’s, and asked for a recommendation, and the way the waiter answered...you know when someone is talking down to you. My son knew. When I noticed Erik about to loom across me to refill my water glass, I moved my glass to the end of the table. Not wanting someone reaching across me with a pitcher full of ice water is completely rational to me, and it also seemed like moving my glass to the end of the table would make the refill easier for him. I guess not, because he said, “It is a lot easier when you don’t move the glass.” Oh well, Erik, you’ll live. It wasn’t only what he said, but how he said it. Since I was with my family, and didn’t want to deal with a confrontation, I laughed off his ugliness. This waiter acted like it was beneath him to do his job, and if he really hates his job that much, then please quit, and spare everyone. We endured him for an hour, and I regret not leaving the minute he arrived at our table with his gross attitude. I really do. On the way out, my teenager asked me if he’d done something wrong. I explained to him that he was fine, and that the waiter was the one who did something wrong. My youngest then asked, “Is it okay if we don’t come here again?” I was way ahead of him. I tipped, but only because they use team service, and everyone else seemed okay; I didn’t want them to get stiffed...
