Looked up the hours today and it said online this location opened up at 11. I showed up at 10:55 and the place looked overgrown and like it was shut down so I went to the door to peek in and see if people were inside. I saw employees and one of them saw me and shooed me away so I went to wait in my car until 11. Once it hit 11, I tried going back to order and I walked into a dark lobby and the employees staring at me like I did something wrong so I asked if they were open yet and they said they weren’t ready… that’s fine I didn’t mind waiting a few more mins in my car or coming back in 30 mins if they had a late open. So I tried asking them to gauge when they’d be ready. They were kindof rude and didn’t have an answer for me and just seemed really annoyed to have a customer. . I was really nice when I asked but they just had an attitude like I should have read their minds. 3 people staring at me and no one could answer lol. They finally said 30 mins so I went to the one in Tulsa Hills instead and it was a better experience thanks to the new manager there.. He was the only employee there and he was new but he was managing his location better and had a way more inviting attitude than the 71st and Lewis location(although it’s apparent the Tulsa hills location is also struggling). This location used to be great but I’ve watched it slowly crash and burn over the years. I know you guys don’t care about losing one customer at one location but from the looks of your reviews, this Qdoba is tanking. The outside of the building doesn’t even look like a running business. You guys seem to not be able to keep employees as one of your locations had 3 people that barely knew how to open a store and can’t even open it on time and another location where a brand new manager is trying to open the store completely alone. Seems like a pretty poor upper management...
Read moreSaw a post of FB posted by the GM or Manager...can't recall. But the post stated, please give us another try...bragged of fresh food & manager trying to increase business. I always wondered why NO ONE is ever in the restaurant, parking lot or drive thru. Well, today I found out and will NEVER bother "trying" them out again. My experience began with wondering if they were even open, again not a single car in the lot. Well, they were, walked in the door up to the steam table full of near empty pans in some places, dried up old looking food in all the other spaces. I ask "what do you recommend " the attendant recommends a bowl I'm in agreement. She asks brown or white rice. Both pans look near empty and dried up as all get out. I choose white (not referred to as cilantro lime as it should have been)The clerk scoops a very flat scoop on a flat spoon of "white" rice and as it drops into the bowl I can HEAR the hard rice hitting the paper bowl. I request fresh rice not even believing she attempted to serve that crud. The other food on the steam table looked so dry & old and looked like it hadnt been stirred for hours. Flat scoop of COLD chicken ( I had to heat it up after travelin 4 mins to my home), 1/2 small scoop of black beans, small scoop of corn, some pico & cilantro, shredded cheese, red salsa, small scoop of guacamole on the side. $16.25 and the bowl is literally 1/2 filled. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! Too much competition in the area to settle for tiny portions of OLD COLD FOOD. Catrina is a 1/4 of a mile north...food always hot & fresh, priced about $5 cheaper for a bowl and never disappoints. Sorry Qdoba, I TRIED to give you a chance but you...
Read moreThe Qdoba at 71st and Lewis was disappointing, and not up to the usual Qdoba standards for cleanliness and food quality.
First, the restaurant opened at 10:30am. I visited at 11. It was already filthy. The kitchen is open and behind the line where the employees build your burritos, etc. The stove and grill were disgusting looking, The floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a week.
After receiving my food, I went to find a table. I appreciate that in the times of Covid (more on that in a minute) they have certain tables blocked off to help with social distancing. But I had a hard time finding a CLEAN table that wasn’t blocked off. Mind you, the store had been open less than 30 minutes and there was only me, and two other people in the restaurant.
I finally settled for the one with the least amount of old food crumbs on it.
Now, back to Covid. In Tulsa, the mask mandate for customers has ended, however it is still required for people who work in food service to wear a mask while working. Of the 3 employees I saw at this location, only 1 had on a mask, and she didn’t have it covering her nose. So basically, no employees were wearing a mask. That’s unacceptable. And against the current law.
After I finished lunch, I wanted to make a pit stop in the bathroom since I would be driving for a while. I wasn’t worried about cleanliness in a fast food bathroom, I don’t expect that. But I do expect a SOAP DISPENSER and PAPER TOWELS! Neither of which could be found in the men’s room.
Avoid this location. It’s...
