I tried this location hopeful. With the moniker as Amish, I was looking forward to dishes reminiscent of what I used to get in Northern Indiana. I did not. I ordered Chicken & Noodles with Mashed Potatoes and Green Beans (was planning on Mac&Cheese but they were out). I would equate my meal to cafeteria food and not good cafeteria food. The chicken and noodles were not hot (more lukewarm). Something in the green beans had a sour taste (not sure if b/c beans were canned or if it was the bacon). The best thing I had was my roll or the top half of my roll as it was set on the plate next to the green beans and the bottom got soggy because of the water from the beans). I believe the roll came with margarine (which was not great). The server asked how my food was and I said it was just okay. Offered to be given something else but declined as I just wanted to finish what I had and leave. At checkout, they tried giving me an employee discount, which I declined. I did so due to not being asked what was unsatisfactory about my food or having a manager come and check when I shared my food was less than satisfactory. The staff was not great. I waited to be seated and after a few moments I was finally acknowledged. Staff acted surprised that someone was there to be seated. No greeting…I felt like an interruption. Finally, when placing my order I asked what, if any, items were gluten free (I was planning to bring my wife later). My server said she didn’t know and was unsure. She did not go any get a better answer. Overall, I feel a Two Star rating...
Read moreCame in for breakfast. Had a couple walk in behind me and about 5 minutes later a single older gentleman.
The woman sat the couple before me, took their order before me, and definitely catered to them. I placed my order directly after. 2 egg breakfast with crispy (specifically asked) hashbrowns and toast with bacon. Older gentleman came in and placed his order last and yet, somehow, he was served my meal! The kitchen girl who served the food looked super confused as to where she was supposed to be taking the food since she didnt take the order. He had asked for a side of corned beef hash that didn't come out until they served me. Clearly, they didn't check the table number.
Not sure how I'm the first customer to arrive and yet the last to be served. I ordered crispy hash browns and they came out done yet soggy. Toast should be crispy on both sides and I got bread with melted butter on it. The eggs must have been tiny, as a two egg breakfast did not have enough to cover one whole slice of toast.
Overall, it felt incredibly disorganized. It was clearly catered to the larger tables who would make more money, and the staff have poor communications as to where the orders should be going. Won't...
Read moreI really don’t like leaving negative reviews, but our experience was disappointing enough that I felt it was worth sharing—even days later, my family is still talking about it. We were all genuinely shocked by the quality of the food.
We ordered takeout, and the lasagna portion was tiny—just two noodle layers, one thin layer of meat, and a bit of cheese. Our two-year-old ate the whole thing and was still hungry. The rolls tasted like something frozen from the grocery store, and the noodle soup had a strange flavor, almost like it had been prepared with scented soap or stored near an air freshener.
The mashed potatoes were very dry, and we got two bowls of chili… one was so oily it was inedible, and the other was just okay. Overall, the food reminded us more of cafeteria-style rather than homemade quality Amish food.
I was really hopeful because I love Amish food, but this just didn’t live up to that standard. I think they’re aiming for Amish-style, but unfortunately, it misses the mark by a lot. I truly hope they can improve—I’d love to have a great Amish restaurant nearby, but this just isn’t...
