First heard about Tina’s from one of their employees Alex and was told about their smash burgers. I love a solid smash burger so I finally made it out yesterday.
I went around 4:00 PM on a Saturday and people were already there and more showing up all the time. Placed my order and sat at the bar and I do like their non-traditional method of ordering at the bar and getting a text message when my food is ready for me to pick up at the window. This provided a very different experience than I had at another bar in Tulsa last weekend where I watched tray after tray of food sit for 5-15 mins under a heat lamp while wait staff completely ignored it.
I was able to pick up my food from the window, say hi to Alex cooking in the kitchen via the pass through and return to my seat at the bar.
The fries were fantastic. Perfectly cooked and salted. Hot and fresh and served with ketchup so I didn’t need to ask for any. The burger was great. Perfectly cooked and they keep it simple. Beef, cheese, pickles, grilled onions and burger sauce. George Motz would be proud.
I thought the vibe was great, staff was friendly and they have a cool outdoor seating area where several people were enjoying the nice weather.
My only disappointment was I didn’t get to try and cocktails as I was headed to work but I feel like everyone that came to the bar ordered a Birthday Girl so I need to get back to try it. I’ve also heard great things about the tomato soup. The menu is simple, and allows them to do what they do very well. Service is quick and efficient. Place was very clean and feels like they know what they want to do, who they want to be and they are doing a great job. I will definitely be back!
Thanks for the great...
Read moreTina’s has GREAT food and drinks. However, the bartop is super tiny and most of the seating is booths along the wall or outdoor tables. That’s fine, but the bartenders don’t leave their spot and the only other staff here is making food in the back. So as a customer, you’re expected to run to the bar, (which has a very long line that honestly kinda ruins the vibe if you’re sitting inside because there’s going to be a group by your table just standing awkwardly) if you need anything, or wait for your number at the kitchen. Like in my opinion, Tina’s is the Panera of bars. Quick Service dining and drink for the most part but they still ask for a tip.. Also I thought it was weird they charge for soda waters and soft drinks. I’m used to places that give designated drivers free soda so it...
Read moreThis place is absolutely amazing! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a nice modern retro vibe, with wooden fixtures and bartop, ane a super cool built-in shuffleboard table. The cocktails are great, my gf and I had the Black Manhattan and the Whiskey Sour. The shaken cocktails are made to order, but the cool thing about the stirred cocktails is that they're all on draft. The food is great for those who have trouble with the burden of choice, because there's 3 main plates and 3 small plates, but all of them are outstanding. Best smashburger I've had in a long time, and the wedge salad is nothing to scoff at.
This place is going to be the new renaissance to SoBo, with friendly and attentive staff and amazing owners who have worked so hard to make this dream come...
