Zaxby's Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Tulsa

This was our first ever visit to a Zaxby's, not impressed!! Stated we would be dining in, it was 8:46 pm on 09/24/24. I ordered the special avocado ranch chicken finger taco, cashier asked if I wanted the pack or single taco. Assuming the pack was 3 based on the picture on the menu board, I ordered the pack. Asked if a drink came with it, was told no so said I wanted water, charged me for a med drink (2.69) I even said something about being charged for water. Husband ordered a signature club sandwich meal. Noticed the amount for the pack of tacos was $20.00, had that removed and asked how much 1 taco was. It was only $3.00 so I ordered 2 along with my $2.69 water!! Now, we pay, get our drinks and go sit down. A woman came in, ordered and complained to us that she was told the lobby closes at 9 pm and she would have to eat fast (we were not told anything like that). She got her meal before us (it was a salad), no big deal. Our's came in takeout boxes and we noticed on receipt that it was marked as carry out, again no big deal we just ate it there. Now, being new to Zaxby's I pull up the menu online to see what a pack of tacos is (as you know it is 9). I discovered that there is a 3 taco meal with a drink for something like $9.89. Noticed that the Avocado ranch taco should have bacon, mine did not!!! So as you can see, the experience was not what I expected. The chicken was good, mine was just missing ingredients, fries not so good. Being charged a med drink when asked for water, not good. Don't know if the cashier was new or what, but I don't think she knew the specials very well. And charging a med drink price for water, who does that!!! We might try again at an earlier time to see if a different crew does a better job of customer service and knowledge of specials. But at this posting, we are not impressed...

Why I would rate this establishment 5 stars because the food is genuinely great most of the time. Here's the deal , if you want anything to eat from here you better be prepared to spend a minimum of $10.00 plus tax. Unless you get the chocolate chip cookies in that case it's 1.50 plus tax for 3 cookies which is reasonable. The next issue is they have taken one of the cheapest items in terms of beverages. That peach sweet tea is absolutely amazing and it's not really a deal breaker however if you want a drink the price range is withing two to three dollars which is still reasonable however if it's a size small they add $1.00 to the price making it from 2.49 to 3.49 and better tell them no ice. If I read the menu correctly if you order a large which is still under $3 but want that to be their peach tea they will add either $2 or $3 onto the traditional price of the drink. Which brings you to about $5 -$6 before tax just because you wanted tea. While I know the things I bring up are not " break it or make it " points and with the quality of the food and service always being on the up and up side ( based off of my experiences alone ) if you're trying to budget your money better or just don't have more than $10 to spend on a meal at the time Zaxbys is definitely not a place to consider , however if money is no object and you can get over being priced gouged for tea than...

I went through the drive through and waited over 30 minutes. I've only been to Zaxby's 2 times but I was very excited about the cheese cake bits. I ordered$ 30 worth of food because I thought I would grab lunch for tomorrow.I ordered the wings and things and a bacon ranch Quesadilla and asked for my wings to be well done also. I get home fries cold, wings not well done and the quesadilla dry. Now I can fix most of these problems on my own by cooking the wings and fries in the air fryer, and adding some ranch to the quesadilla. I shouldn't have to but I was going to do all of that but then I go to get a cheese cake bit and I don't have any strawberry sauce 😞, not what I'm I going to do with these. I call and tell the "manager" and tell her my complaint and she said well I was here and they did cook them longer and the strawberry sauce could have fallen out or someone forgot it, but all I can do is give you a new order of cheese cake bits. So I asked her name, she said I can't give out my name, I said really so I can't have a name to go on my complaint, she said she is the manager and her name is Brianna, and I know she was not telling the truth.
