Update: on Feb. 21, 2021, I ordered pick up at L&L. When I was paying for two meals, I asked for two packs of soy sauce. The girl behind the counter said, "Oh, I will have to charge you for that, like is $1.09 okay?" I said Why are you charging me for soy sauce packets when they used to be free? I'm not asking for an excessive amount. She replied, " Well, because of Covid, we have to charge now." (Imagine the most annoying voice ever!) I replied, What does covid have to do with condiments?" She ignored me. Very politely I said, please let management know that you have raised your prices and now you're charging a dollar nine for two tiny packets of soy sauce that cost your business less than a penny each; please tell them that is not good business." She ignores me. As I'm walking out the door she turns to the three guys cooking behind in the kitchen and says in a really rude and sassy voice, "What does covid have to do with condiments? Hahaha" it took every fiber in my being to keep walking through the door and not turn around and go stuff the soy sauce somewhere... well, you know what I'm trying to say. Needless to say, I won't be going back for a while. Everyone is experiencing very difficult times right now and to try to profit off of everyone else's misery is not good business & I don't care if it's charging 54.5 cents for a teeny tiny packet of soy sauce, it's just ridiculous. They also didn't serve as much meat as they usually do; they packed it more with rice and cold vegetables. I'm bummed out that the restaurant seems to be going in a downward spiral however I'm really rooting that they get back on track because when they first opened it...
Read moreI have been making this my place to come once a week with my baby to sit and read and relax. I decided to go on a day I don’t usually go and was met with a different staff. I ordered a chicken katsu curry and a bonus side of steamed veggies for my baby and paid 20$ plus a tip. We wait 15 minutes while I do my homework and when the food comes out it’s just chicken and veggies no rice. Confused I went up to ask her why I didn’t get rice n explained I wanted chicken katsu curry plate with a side of rice and we went back and forth for a few minutes until she very quietly asked the cooks for a side of rice and they gave me THE TINIEST scoop of rice, I mean middle school lunches would give more! So I offered to just buy a side of rice then which would have been 5$!!! Instead I cleaned up my space and left. Would rather cook rice at my own home then deal with someone who can’t fix their own mistakes! Train your employees to have better customer service and communication! I have never had this happen at this location until I...
Read moreLove L&L, always have. Then....my caterer canceled on me a week before my wedding. After some last minute scrambling I went with L&L... honestly I was worried serving this at my wedding. But... the food was a HUGE hit. Everyone was raving about how good it was, especially people that have never had it. Also, they were wonderful to work with. They were quick to respond, made some changes to better suit our needs, and had the absolute best customer service. We ordered WAY too much, so be mindful of that. Luckily it made for great left overs th3 next day during clean up and lots of take home platters. In all honesty I am so happy my caterer canceled... everyone loved the food and they were such a breeze to work with. I can't say enough positive things about the Tumwater L&L crew. Everytime I have been in, I am greeted with a smile and wonderful customer service. Give them a try for a quick bite or catering... you...
