My husband scheduled an appointment to have my car detailed for a surprise due to the fact that we just got it & wanted it to be nice & clean. The first quote for a complete detail, including the windshield wipers being replaced & the head lights restored. The price was almost $400.00. I told my husband not to have it done but he ended up calling to get a price for the complete detail on the car minus the new windshield wipers & head light restoration. The price went down to 248 & some change. So I told my husband okay since he wanted to have it done for me. Later on in the day of the appointment, they called & told my husband that they needed to have my car an additional day to complete the carpets but it was going to cost an additional $30.00. I went in later on that day to pay the bill & saw that my car was not even close to be completed. There was wax still on the passenger side & the driver side looked as if it still needed to be done. I asked the gentleman manager of they were sure that the carpets were the only thing that needed to be finished. It looked to me as if they had gotten a late start on my car. Then it wasn't $30 extra, it ended up to be $35 extra & the bill then came to 286 & some change. The next day, I went to pick my car up & they said that err needed to have or cat rum with the heat on full blast for another hour. Okay dropped my car off with a tank that had a little less than 3/4 of a tank. When I picked my car up, it was at a half of a tank. Therefore it tells me that they let my car sit & idle for hours on end which is very bad for your vehicle. When I got home, my husband checked out the carpet & it was totally soaked still along with the seats. We lifted up the back seats a couple of hours after running a heater to finish drying it out. There was standing water in the channels under the back seat. We ran the heater & fan for a good the days to get everything dried. Here it is, a week later & I've driven my car for two days since the detail & it's still damp. I would never recommend this place to...
Read moreI would give 0 stars if it was an option. I called LINE-X in Tumwater and asked if they could put window rain guards on my car. After giving them the make and model I was told "sure, no problem. The cost is $99 and install is free" The day of install Koa did the install and pulled my car up to door for me and I instantly noticed the window guards didn't fit properly and adhesive was showing on drivers side. I told koa my concerns at that time and his instant reaction was a rude "well they fit over the window and thats whats important " I then mentioned that adhesive was sticking out and I'd like that fixed, so he grabbed a blunt razor and proceeded to stuff it all in around the edges. A few days later I returned to line x and asked them to remove the window guards because they don't fit right and they agreed but I had to pay the %20 restocking fee. I didn't feel I should because they installed the wrong parts. I was passed off to the store manager and her and I went out to look at my car. I asked her if she thought the guards looked right to her and she hesitated for a second then responded " Hondas are like that, if you want them to fit right you have to order them from honda. Subaru is the same way." So I asked her why I should have to pay the 20% restocking fee if they put something knowingly on my car that wasn't going to fit right. She never would respond to my question. So they took them off, when the tech was done he came inside and was whispering to her and she came to get me and took me to my car (parked in the shade) and said "see all fixed and smooth" when I left and parked in sunlight I saw that the black plastic on my car was gouged and scratched up. I believe they knew that and dishonestly passed that over. My recommendation for anyone going there would be check out anything you purchase before install because they are not honest...
Read moreOrdered an ARE DCU Canopy through Extreme Auto Outfitters back in January and timed the order so it would arrive around when my new truck arrived in March. Well, my timing was good as the canopy arrived the week prior to my truck arriving at the dealership, however, ARE/Extreme Auto Outfitters built it to the wrong length.
ARE offered to remake it, and threw in a free option, which was fine, but there was no offer to expedite the manufacturing. Never learned where the mistake happened, but seemed to be a miscommunication between EAO and ARE as my order slip had the correct size listed.
Fast forward to late July when the second canopy arrives and I go in for installation. Unbeknownst to me the DCU canopy required holes drilled in my truck bed walls for installation. Ultimately this is fine, but I would have assumed EAO would have notified me of this required modification prior to installation or during ordering instead of just drilling away. Second, after installation, the sales person did a solo walk around of my vehicle without notifying me or asking me to come along and check out the canopy or my vehicle for any damage from installation. Once back inside she seemed a bit perturbed I wanted to check my vehicle and canopy out for myself before signing for acceptance of the work. Kind of a bizarre experience, but these are strange times so who knows.
All in all, the ARE canopy appears to be solid and time will tell if it holds up. Between the initial ordering mistake and the installation concerns, it’s not what I would have expected given their good reputation, but not enough to give them 3...
