We came in after a long day of working. Our server was amazing and on point. We experienced a little bit of a wait, however, not terrible. The old fashion and water moccasin cocktails were phenomenal and well made. For the starters: The Mongolian wings had good flavor, though light on the meat and a little stringy. The black & bleu steak skewers left something to be desired. None of them were "blackened" properly, half of them were cooked medium rare and the other half were cooked well done. Though they did have good seasoning. If the steak cubes weren't the size of game dice, they probably would have come out better. Then the entrées: the miso grilled salmon was good, decent flavor and cooked appropriately. The pan seared rosemary chicken was horrible enough that I didn't finish it. First off, the chicken breast was as thin as a #2 pencil and was the size of my palm, there was no sear on it, and it lacked flavor. It honestly tasted like it was boiled and then had some kind of gravy poured on it. Whatever the gravy was, it didn't have any rosemary in it, however, did have a bunch of parsley. The vegetables were prepared good, not soggy at all. And the mashed potatoes definitely tasted homemade, however, the serving size dwarfed everything else. This is an establishment that we will not be...
Read moreA full service restaurant associated with an adjacent golf course. Menu is typical American/pub grub fare; however it does feature a large and diverse selection of specialty salads. Additionally, the steak/beef selection is above average for the typical pub house. My wife enjoyed an excellent cut of beef tenderloin. I ordered their house Mongolian style wings and the shrimp fettuccine special. I enjoyed the unique variation of the wing flavoring, although did resort to dipping it in Ranch dressing for the last few as the teriyaki/soy taste became a bit overpowering. The true reason for the 5 stars is the prompt, attentive and professional service. Our waiter was pulling double duty at the bar and it was great to see that even though he was busy, he kept his poise and delivered top notch service to all his patrons. Great teamwork support from the other waiter and two check-ins from the manager also enhanced the dining experience. There are also two large dining rooms that are perfect for group meetings or a large social gathering. This is also a nice hidden respite when your go-to Oly eatery is infested with legislative session crowds...
Read moreThis place is a home away from home. The staff become friends to the point where it feels weird to ask them to bring you things! I absolutely love it here. Tammy is a spitfire. Our interactions leave me slapping my knee and choking on air. Travis is a kind, gentle, sensitive, nurturing soul. If you need to complain about anything at all, ask for him by name! You won't be disappointed. And then there's Adrianna... she left for a time and the place felt different without her. I eventually got use to it when she, out if no where, came back. She's a good person, but she will do this thing where she fakes out giving you daps, and then pulls away at the last moment making you feel slow and stupid. She says, "SNAIL!", and then laughs at your pain and goes back to work. I've told Travis about this, and I feel he is working behind the scenes to correct this behavior. He's so warm and caring! She is an overall good person, though, and she does add significantly to the charm of this place. This place is dope. Come here more often. You'll be...
