McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Tupelo

We ordered and paid for 2 sweet and smokey chicken sandwiches and 2 tomato cucumber salads a memphian and mc. Club with fruit cups 4 soups with pickles and extra j-cups of dressings on the side. We didn't get our pickles no dressings the cucumber tomatoe salads were dry (no juice) and both the chicken sandwiches isn't chicken they are turkey!! Went inside to get what was left out of Togo order and the little kitchen lady wanted us to pay for the stuff again and was very hateful didn't find out about chicken being turkey till we got home. What happened to ppl actually doing there jobs, being professional and courteous, and smiling telling your customers to have a good day? I worked in the food business when I was a teen/early 20's yes I made mistakes I'm human but no matter how bad of day I had I always made sure my customers left with a positive experience. It use to be the customer is always right, also When we got tipped we were grateful now if someone just answers the phone they expect a tip. What friendly employees! Our Saturday afternoon lunch was so pleasant. The ladies working the register and running the food were all smiles and personality. It started our experience off perfectly. The menu is extensive (*it is hard to read because the wording is small on the wall behind the registers), so I would suggest looking online at a menu before walking in for your first time. I opted for the Pick Two and got a spicy turkey melt and caesar salad. My daughter got the kids' pizza w/chips and a cookie. Our friend got the upsized club sandwich called the King Club with a side of mac & chz. The pizza was small for a 10 year old, but would recommend it for a toddler because she said it tasted good. The portions for both adult meals were enormous and we were very happy with the quality of ingredients, accuracy and speed of getting our food, and especially the taste. Waited for 30 min, never got my food order. The people who took my order were very nice and courteous as were the general staff. The problem is the two managers. I usually eat there at least once per week. I have noticed in the past the managers think their roll is to intimate the staff vs manage the restaurant. They are constanly correcting to staff in front of the customers. Bring to their attention on the spot their mistakes. That is NOT how you manage people. You can tell everyone is scared to death of them. I went up to one of the managers to give him my receipt so he could see how long I had been waiting. He immediately looked around to find someone to blame instead of trying to solve my problem as a customer. I refused to get a refund and told him they needed the money more than I did.
