Wendy's — Restaurant in Tupelo

I normally wouldn't review a fast food restaurant, as all the food from one chain to the next is generally the same. But we were very dissatisfied with the service. First, we pull up at 10:30 on Saturday morning and order breakfast biscuit sandwiches. The woman says, "We're out of breakfast, go to McDonald's". I'm about to pull away when another woman says, "no, we're just out of biscuits".. Ok, so I order croissant sandwiches instead, 2 orders of seasoned potatoes, 1 oj, and 1 coffee with extra cream. When I pulled up to pay, woman says "11.30". No hello or good morning, which normally I wouldn't complain about, but every other Wendy's I've been to the last few months in other cities have been exceedingly friendly. So, she hands me my coffee and food bag. I look inside the bag and don't see the oj. Ok, no biggie, I tell her and she gets my oj. We pull around back to eat in my car. My coffee is cold! No creamers in the bag. Instead of 2 orders of seasoned potatoes there is only 1 order, and somehow 1 order of fries. Cold, of course. The egg and cheese sandwiches on croissants were greasy, and of course cold. It was our first time trying their croissants and I'll never reorder it. We love the biscuit sandwich for a quick breakfast, but I don't recommend the croissants. Yuck. As a consolation prize we were given 2 packets of grape jelly. Haha, who puts grape jelly on...

I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich combo w/fries in the drive-through. Waited about 25 minutes with 4 people in front of me for my meal. The order was correct, but the fries were scarce and overcooked. Nicely Salted, though. For just shy of $9, I expected more. No ketchup or napkins, and the sandwich had been made for long enough for the lettuce to be wilted and soggy enough to have to remove. The window workers never spoke to me, just pushed my bag out the window and closed it quickly. I know employees are hard to come by right now, but a smile and a friendly word after sitting in a drive-through for at least 3 times as long as it should would have sent me off much happier.

*Better drive-through experience a few months later, but the chicken on my regular chicken sandwich wasn't edible. It was so tough I could not bite through it.

*Window worker today told me that small combos are no longer available, although the menu prices posted are for small combos. Be prepared to have .99 or more added to your bill. My goodness!! I know it was late night and was going to run thru this fast food drive thru real fast? What a joke!! First I order a taco salad... They have no salad. So I order a chicken sandwich and after waiting at the window 18 minutes, since it is fast food, I ask for my money back.
