I usually love Mcalisters. I eat here 2-4 times a week for lunch. Tonight, in the Tuscaloosa location I spent 24 dollars for a chicken salad sandwich and fruit and another sandwich and cucumber salad with teas. The fruit cup was missing(which is an additional 50 cents) and the teas were barely filled to the top. No pickles with the sandwiches and when I called upon getting home and realizing it the person who answered the phone acted like it was MY fault that I didn’t know they were out of fruit bc it was “circled” on my receipt so that means they are out.. out but yet you charged me for it and made no mention of a substitution.. also, barely any meat on my chicken sandwich and the croissant tasted like it has been sitting out all day. I’m not one to write reviews but for 24 dollars I only got a meal worth around 10$ on a good day. Don’t waste your time at this location, drive...
Read moreWhen we arrived at the counter, we were informed that they are out of Spuds. A little bit unsatisfactory, but understandable nonetheless. Once we got to the counter we experienced a mix of customer experience levels, seemingly at two extremes. Some workers were very courteous, but the employee named Lucas who was running the register was incredibly rude to the members of our party. As in, rude to the point of ignoring questions and barely speaking to verify orders. He also lectured a member of our group that we should call in advance since we were a large group despite the fact that we had in fact called in advance, notifying both an employee and a manager. Having worked in customer service, I understand that everyone has an off day, but the negative and disgruntled attitude of Lucas was very alarming, to...
Read moreTypically great food and service. Covid has definitely changed things. I understand that, but please tell your patrons what they need to know to have a positive experience. We placed our order and had a seat. We sat there over 20 minutes. To-Go orders came and went. When I asked the person at the front about our order this is when we were informed that all orders were “to-go” only. That would have been nice to know. We asked if we needed a table number. He said “no, we call your name.” We’re still sitting there. He said he called us several times. Neither of us heard him. We were 2 of only 4 inside. Would you think he could have stepped up and ask if “XXXX” was our name?? Nope, just stood there. If employees didn’t have their cell phones on them during work they would be much more attentive and...
