Waffle House — Restaurant in Tuscaloosa

My first Waffle House experience and it was fantastic! For starters, not only was the staff very friendly for an early Saturday morning, but they were all very polite as well. We sat down and ordered quickly, and our server was on top of everything. Our food came out fairly quickly and everything tasted great. I also paid attention to how friendly the staff was with the cool while they submitted orders and waited for their orders to go out. There was no shouting, they were polite, they weren't in each other's way and they were working quickly and efficiently. The cashier was sweet and friendly, and everyone thanked us as we left. I'm sure this restaurant gets very busy during the year, as they are on The Strip in Tuscaloosa, but I'm sure they're just as quick, efficient and awesome then as they were on an early Saturday morning. I will definitely eat here again next time I'm in Tuscaloosa, and hopefully all other Waffle Houses deliver the same experience as this one did. Thank you to everyone for such a great...

So... The young lady in front of me casually ignored me, and kept washing dishes. After about 7 or 8 minutes, she finally asks someone else to attend to me, still not having said a word to me. The other came on over, took my order, and I'm still waiting on a drink that I'm sure she's forgotten. The place I'm sitting at is still dirty and needs to be wiped. At least the second woman was polite. I reckon they're too focused on getting off work. I will never come to this location of my own volition again. Terrible service. Cleanliness is also questionable. Ah, college campus tho... should've expected as much. I concede to my bad decision...

Do you not answer the phone????? Been trying for an hour to get a to go order????????

I seriously tried for an hour to get a to go order so I decided to grab an Uber and go in. Yes, i understand they had been busy but I also work in the food industry and if my owner had caught any of us ignoring the phone, we would be fired.

I also mentioned to them and showed them on my phone how many times I had tried to call.

Then the cooks started to mock me. And said something about how long I can wait on my food like I did on my phone.

Total disrespect to customers. I will be asking for the...
