Happy Lemon is a great spot for drinks and sweets. Their menu is simple and easy to navigate:
Brewed Tea ($5.50) - Choose between black or green tea. Classic Milk Drinks ($5.25–$5.75) - Classic milk tea, milk tea with boba, and dark brown sugar milk. Fresh Squeezed Lemon Drinks ($5.25–$6.50) - Fresh lemon mixed with brewed tea or served on its own. Salted Cheese Series ($5.90–$6.50) - Teas topped with their famous salted cheese foam, which sounds strange but is actually really tasty. Lemon Slushies and Fruit Smoothies ($5.50–$6.50) - Frozen lemon and fruity drinks. Fruit Teas ($6.25–$6.50) - Refreshing teas with mango, passion fruit, or grapefruit flavors. Toppings ($0.75–$1.00) - Customize your drink with boba, salted cheese foam, mango chunks, and more. Bubble Waffles ($6.50–$7.25) - Warm and crispy Hong Kong-style bubble waffles, with options to add ice cream or Oreo.
One thing to note - their drinks are very sweet. Even if you ask for 50% sugar, like in the Mango Passionfruit drink, it still tastes really sweet. If you prefer less sweetness, I recommend ordering 30% sugar or even less.
Overall, it is a fun place with lots of options, friendly service, and the perfect stop if you are craving something sweet...

But at the same time, I wouldn't go looking for this place. There is something to be said about their service that's lacking.
My first time, I was just looking at the menu without intent to purchase. There were no other customers inside. The girl behind the counter asks, "Can you go buy over there?" pointing to a machine on the wall. She seemed to flatten when we really were just looking.
Our 2nd time, we used the kiosk as remembered from last time (though that day this cashier also took orders at the counter.)
Our waffle and lemon boba tea were fine, but no tastes really stood out to us. Furthermore, zero eye contact, they don't even let you know when your order's ready. They could really help themselves and reduce crowd control (should they have one) if they did a # call, it's...
Read moreOrdered here for the first time. I ordered their strawberry shortcake and my fiancé ordered their ube boba.
At first, I got the impression it was going to be flavorful, but our drinks really did not taste like anything. Mine tasted like sugarless strawberry in iced water... If you make boba... at least try to make a better way to make the drinks taste better or do more taste tests. I don't know if any employee here has tasted their own drinks from this place, but it sucks dude. It's embarrassing to call it boba. I feel like whoever promotes cartoon characters from games or whatever will have bad quality drinks and food.
You could get better boba in Garden Grove and the other surrounding areas, but not this place. Heck, Class 302 does a...
