I typically will leave fast food restaurants alone and not review them. I understand the job is difficult and people can feel they are underpaid and overworked. However, after a long day at work I went through the drive-thru tonight. Ordered my food and pulled up to the window to pay. The manager was very pleasant and told me to have a good night and I pulled forward to the food window. The person at the food window wasn't there and when they showed up they had my food in the bag stood there and glared at me through the window. When they opened up the window and I started to say hello and they threw the food at me. Like literally threw the food out the window at me. The look on their face was like they were staring at their enemy. Like I had done them dirty somehow and they wanted to kill me! I'm sitting there wondering what the hell is going on and they slam the window. Not just close it but slam it. Grabs my drink comes back, opens the window with no eye contact and shoves their arm out the window. I take the drink and again this person is glaring at me like I ran over their baby kitten or something. This was the weirdest experience I've ever had at a fast food restaurant. I sat there wondering if this was the person who had prepared the food and I'm thinking if it is there's no way in hell I'm going to eat this because this person is extremely angry and their behavior is not normal. I pulled back through and went back to the pay window and the manager was there. I explained what happened and he was very polite and apologized for the other person's behavior. He offered me a refund and I gave him back the food and the drink. I've never done something like that before where I asked for my money back but I just could not believe how this individual was behaving. I have no idea why they were so angry or hostile but they have no business being in a customer service position. Read moreUpdate: Decided to try this McDonald's again out of necessity... customer service seemed a little better, however it still is lacking. I asked for an empty cup with a lid when at the pick up window in the drive thru and the lady said her manager wanted me to park to wait for it. I guess their drive thru times couldn't afford them simply handing it through the window? So I waited for about 4 minutes but no one came with the cup. Ridiculous... do better McDonald's in 29 Palms, ... do better... 🙄
Last review given 3 years prior: You'll get your food fast usually. However, you may or may not get courteous service at the food window. The last time I was there the order taker had forgotten the extra hashbrowns I ordered. I noticed it when checking my bag at the food window. I asked the manager (tall, sort of thin, brown man) at the window about it...he said "it wasn't on the order." So I politely asked if I could add one. He told me the price and literally handed me the extra hashbrown, with only the little wrapper it comes in; no bag. May I recommend giving that gentleman a refresher course in providing good customer service? And, a training course on proper sanitary measures? I just shook my head- which is what I do when my family wants to eat...
Read moreHello fellow googlers, I am torn with this place. 20 percent of the time I actually get decently prepared food where it is hot and delicious. My most recent visit was probably my last straw with this place. I ordered 20 piece chicken nuggets, 4 McDoubles and a large fry. I was asked to pull forward into the waiting lane where I sat for approximately 5 mins. When I looked over my order, I actually received everything as requested but what did not make sense was how my fries were luke warm, chicken nuggets also luke warm but tasted like they were re-cooked, and my cheese burgers tasted burnt. After further investigation discovered the patties were burnt. HOW does a timed grilled burn food????? Simply put its a staff that is either lazy, needs training, or really takes no pride in their performance at this place. TO THE OWNER : PLEASE higher managers that actually care about your business and want to have the employees take pride in working there. This will fix the poor performance this place is plagued with and actually deliver a better product.
