Firstly this place was recommended by the front desk clerk at the hotel that I'm staying at. I will be sad to tell her about my experience and how sorry I was for going.
Food: Went in and ordered a simple pasta dish with butter sauce, and it was placed on the table in front of me and that's when I realized it was WRONG - it wasn't what I ordered. I said penne pasta. Penne pasta with garlic butter sauce and shaved parmesan cheese and a side of garlic bread. The pasta dish that I was staring at was swimming in oil and butter. I had no idea what it was. At least they got the sliced parmesan cheese on top of the pasta correct. Failed at everything else. I never tried the garlic toast because I was upset with the amount of time before my food was brought, so I can't review it.
The lemon water that they sold as "homemade" was just plain nasty. No wayyyy - it tasted like bottled lemon juice with tap water and an eye droper of sweetener. I drank 5 sips, and I was done.
Back to my plate... When asked for it to be corrected, my pasta was brought to my table cold and dry. Maybe I was being punished for the order takers mistake.? Maybe. Just maybe the other plate sauce was saved from the garbage disposal and poured on top of my corrected one.
Service Bigtime Error... My husband's food was brought to the table about 20 minutes beforehand. Terrible service!!! I'm used to all food being brought to the table at the same time. I had to wait until my food arrived. I was looking around. Then I watched him eat ALL his food, get satisfied, and then wipe his mouth clean with his napkin before I saw the first plate. Failed.
Atmosphere. Ok. Nothing worth speaking about.
I'm done. My husband asked for a refund on my food. Not going...
Read moreMy experience at this sorry establishment was beyond deplorable. The man that took our order was extremely irritable and rude. He was very impatient with my friends and I as we ordered, and shortchanged me $1.04. When I asked for the correct change, he snapped at me, yelling, “do you really want it?!?!?”. Of course I wanted my change. As he begrudgingly opened the drawer to give me change, he muttered “damn Jew”. I am Jewish (I was wearing my Star of David necklace, big mistake) and was deeply offended by this, as his racism and bigotry was extremely unacceptable and really sickened me. On top of this, he only gave me 3 cents instead of the $1.04 he owed me. I knew it was a lost cause to get my change, so I went to wait for the pizza. When it was finally ready, he slammed my pizza on the counter and shouted my name rudely. Although the pizza was good, I will never return to this restaurant and never provide business to the racist abhorrence of a man that...
Read moreI sent my mother to pick up some food and we got two hot pastrami sandwiches. She waited honestly about 30-40 minutes without being called to pick up the sandwiches and when she finally went up to ask they had it on hand, on their rack with more orders. She had came home and they were cold as can be. This time I drove her back because a hot sandwich shouldn’t be cold, thinking I should’ve just came in myself. (I constantly work 12-13 hours a day I am tired and all I wanted was something hot and nice for one meal) The customer service was not ideal as they had not been respectful, even the manager had an attitude when I apologized for my mothers behavior as she raised her voice at them, our food was just reheated and in the end after always enjoying their food for years this may be the day that I never come back to this establishment. Almost 40 dollars and an hour of time for two sandwiches...
