Just like any food restaurants and businesses, the service and food is always wonderful in the beginning when they first open up. Everyone is so nice, helpful, polite and the food portions are excellent. Condiment servings are also great. Then that changes after time passes and the staff gets comfortable and there is no longer a need to give the same excellent service you’ve given in the beginning. Before tonight I’ve noticed the portions of food in every meal have gotten smaller, mostly the sides. Condiment ratio like tarter sauce, etc are 1-2 a meal now. But tonight after a long day at work I stop at what “was” my favorite place to get my mother something to eat. I ordered her a 4 piece fish plate. No drink, two sides. Decided to change one of the sides at the window. Shouldn’t be a problem to take a mashed potato and drop some fries in my box instead. I hear a coworker in the back yelling with an attitude about having to switch the sides. Basically saying I ordered mash potatoes. Cashier confirmed I heard correctly. Was too scared to tell me her name but they call her “Mama Dee” .. Real short lady with penciled eyebrows. I asked him for extra fries on top of wanting fries but once again she had an attitude or was getting smart about what I ordered so he was scared to tell her. I had no problem paying for extra. Told him she was being unprofessional. Gave me 2 tarter sauces for a 4 piece. I can literally count how many fries were in the box. Was not satisfied with my order! Read moreI’m only giving one star because i can’t give lower. When i first went to Golden Chick, it was absolutely amazing! i was excited because it’s hard to find good quality chicken and i heard amazing things about it so i was hopeful, but as usual after about a month or so the customer service and food quality went down. We’d pay extra for the upsize and still only get the smaller size except for the drink. I didn’t say anything because I understood rushes happen and to help stretch items you don’t always give an overly large amount. Today was the final straw though. my mom went and waited in line for almost 10 minutes all to be told very rudely they had nothing ready and they didn’t want to take the order. She didn’t mind waiting the 10-15 minutes for the food. They turned Her and 5 other cars away at least. Terrible customer service and that sealed the deal for them! Today was my last chance for them in hopes they’d redeem themselves but sadly they didn’t. So Chicken Express, once again i’ll give you my business solely. Thankfully Chicken Express knows how to do everything right….even on bad days. I normally don’t complain about places because everyone has bad days! but to be told no when trying to place and order after you told them you’re fine with the wait….thats to much. Read moreJUST bad, I haven't had a good expirence any time we have came, and we have tried a few times. MORE RECENTLY I ordered a catfish plate and my husband and son each had chicken tender plates. They were having Ice cream by the time I got my food which was 10 to 15intutes later, after being told 2 minutes and it would be out. Of course when it got there, I no longer wanted it and asked for a REFUND. They wouldn't give me it to me; instead offered the meal I already paid for, and a Replacentment meal for next only documented on the reciept w someones initials. So i gave them one more chance. The NEXT VISIT..Here I am and the staff DIDN'T want to honor my replacement meal without calling someone first. "They stated they aren't allowed to do that anymore." THEN GIVE YOUR CUSTOMER A REFUND WHEN THEY ASK. They also refused to give my son a drink bc we took that last time. NONE OF THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN AN ISSUE
THE FOOD - The catfish and fried ocra were over cooked and the chicken was dry, and the ice cream machine doesn't ever work. OVERALL we will not be returning, we gave them to many chances already.
