This review is a hard one for me. Panera Bread has amazing food and a great atmosphere on the dine in. HOWEVER, The delivery side is BEYOND awful. My office and I have ordered from them over the past year. Today was the LAST time. Over the past two years we have been missing whole orders, drinks, and delivered to the wrong place. Each time they have quickly sent the missing items or brought us a whole new meal. TODAY was the worst! We got the call from the driver and said they were close we reminded them of our address, 45 mins later still no food. I called the same number that had said it was on it's way and the driver said I don't have an order by that name. Frantic because we only get an hour for lunch, I called the store. Joy answered and said that the order was picked up and said that we approved the delivery. I said "no, because we still have no food." Joy said "let me call you back." I waited. AGAIN, only an hour for lunch... called back Joy answered and said that the drop off said that "they knew me and would pass it on." I said no they did not, at this location." She said that she refunded the money. So 30 mins into my lunch I have to hit busy traffic Broadway (Tyler, TX) (students fall break) in order to get lunch and hopefully get it, eat it and drive back in time to return to work. I felt like Joy didn't try to mend the situation after I told her this happens ever time with them and how awful the delivery side is. NOTHING.... OK bye.
Let's discuss DoorDash who they use. I also use frequently. I have for about the last 2 years I've been in Tyler. I've NEVER have a problem with Doordash. As a matter of fact, it's always on time and the drivers always are in communication with me.
Maybe Panera Bread needs to
Pay attention to what is going into the bags. Double check that it's all there before you seal the bag with the "It's all here" label. DoorDash is still an extension of your business. Communication is KEY! NEVER say (which in EVERY case you do!) "DoorDash forgot that." or "It's DoorDash' fault." You need to make sure that the address is clear and that the driver knows where they are going. Maybe even double check everything.
Sad thing is that you have lost thousands of dollars from this customer and our lunch groups. I can't trust that Panera will be on time or will have all of my order. So this is goodbye Panera Bread

My family and I are frequent travelers and often visit Panera Bread locations in various towns and states. We live in Tyler, TX, and are thoroughly impressed by the exceptional experience and cleanliness we always have at this particular location.
Firstly, the food is always delicious and fresh as we've come to expect from Panera. From their signature soups and salads to their sandwiches and pastries, everything is top-notch. Regarding the recent menu changes, while it's disappointing to see some of our favorite items go, I understand that these decisions are made at a corporate level. It's not the fault of the specific store, and I appreciate the staff's hard work in accommodating these changes. Looking forward to trying out all the items on the new menu! And if you feel the need to make your voice heard on the menu changes might I suggest reaching out to the corporate office as this was a decision obviously made by higher ups that employees at each store have no control of.
Moreover, the service is always outstanding. The staff at this location is always friendly, attentive, and always make us feel welcome from the moment we walk in.
What truly set this Panera Bread apart, however, is the cleanliness of the restaurant. Despite our travels and visits to numerous other Panera locations, we have found that the Tyler, TX location to be the cleanest by far. The attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness does not go unnoticed and certainly always enhances our dining experience.
We have always had a fantastic experience at Panera Bread in Tyler, TX, and would highly recommend it to anyone passing through the area. It's clear that the staff takes pride in their work, and it truly shows in every aspect of the restaurant. We'll definitely continue to keep coming back!! I order my drink and pick it up through the drive thru, itās always been simple, easy and the workers have been nice and attentive until today. This morning, I pulled up to the drive thru as normal, I waited behind a car for about 5 minutes. I pulled up to the speaker and no one said anything, knowing sometimes they can be busy, I waited. I said āhello?ā into the speaker after about 3 minutes of waiting. Nothing. After about another 5 minutes, I pulled out of the drive thru. I went inside and was promptly ignored. There were 2 workers there and no one had a headset on. Eventually, someone looks at me and tells me āone secondā. I say, ok sounds good. Iām not in a rush, I gave myself plenty of time to pick it up, so again, I wait. I watch her make 2 orders and the other worker sit there on her phone. Still no one says anything to me, so I politely ask them and tell them that I had a pick up order and it was just a drink so can I please get that? They say nothing to me, donāt ask for my name or my order or anything. One worker shoves a cup at me and says āhereā. I take it and go to make my drink, then I realize that the caffeine drink I want is behind the counter. So, I go back to the counter and explain that I ordered the strawberry mint recharge lemonade. She grabbed the cup out of my hand, turns around and starts speaking to her coworker in spanish. My spanish is not great but I do know some words here and there and I definitely know what āPendejaā means. I was appalled and my jaw absolutely hit the floor. I wasnāt trying to be mean or annoying, I was just trying to get my order. She fills up the cup and shoves it in my face. I say nothing, she says nothing and I left. I am cancelling my sip club and never coming back here. This absolutely ruined my morning and my day, this is now how to treat customers. Stay away from...
