Girl taking the orders was snarky and didn't want to be patient with me. My teenage son told me she rolled her eyes at me. I didn't have my reading glasses so I couldn't see their credit card machine. BTW, anytime it asks me to tip before I receive goods and services that gets a 0%. I'm offended at businesses that even suggest i should tip before hand. Especially for doing nothing more than taking my dang order. 18% also to boot. Keep dreaming. The guy brought our food out. He had 4 "plates" of tacos for me and my 2 kids. He started asking who had what. My kids didn't know. I didnt know. We havent eaten here. Not sure what it was supposed to look like. All he had to do was sit them down and we could have sorted thru them. I said to him, I had 4 tacos. He then got sparky and says "we can only put 2 on a plate". 🫤 In any case before I could blow my top, my 15 year old convinced this dummy to put them on the table so we could figure who's was who's. Not a good first time experience. I think i tried this 10 years ago and didn't like it then either for similar reasons. I tried 4 different tacos this visit. All were pretty good. However, I think they are too "gourmet" for my gang, and a little pricey. Seems like a good place to go for beers. Unfortunately that's not us. Mostly the attitudes of the workers need to change towards old people...
Read moreIt’s sad that I have to give them the one star but it’s not on the fact that food is not good because the food is great. I sat at the bar and waited to see if I was going to be greeted by the female bartenders that was working the bar tonight 04/04/2022. The strawberry blonde headed young lady looked at me and didn’t say anything. The brunette young lady walked back into the bar and as soon as she came back she looked right at me and then went and helped another customer that had been sitting there. And the reason I know he had been sitting there because the glass he had in front of him only had about half a glass of beer in it meaning he had already been waited on. Mind you the strawberry blonde lady still never asked if I needed anything. Finally the brunette young lady came to me and said are you ordering I told her yes I need a menu please. Finally put my order in and by for my drink and my food. What I also noticed is that even though I had my food and drink neither one of them came back and asked how was everything did I need anything else. They pretty much talked to the white male patrons at the bar and made sure they were good. I don’t know if this is how a bar is supposed to be ran but they are the worst when it comes to customer service and making sure that all patrons get the...
Read moreFirst time visit and was I impressed! Ordered the pork tacos and queso for my dinner. The pork was tender and juicy with zesty toppings- I added some lime juice which really made the flavors pop! I am visiting from San Antonio so it’s safe to say that I have tasted queso before, but I’ve never had the blend that Torchy’s offered-It has a spicy tang to it, but a mixture of different flavors along with the cheese, which is delightful with the chips. As a nurse, I was quite impressed with how clean the restaurant was, and I watched as staff members went around, sweeping and cleaning constantly to keep the restaurant, neat and tidy. I found the staff very friendly and helpful and spoke at length with Jim -one of the owners, and I felt right at home. I noticed there’s a lot of choices of different tacos -so when I come back up to Tyler again I’m going to start trying different flavored ones, so I can check out the whole menu. Prices are fair and the service is quick, the food is served hot and tasty -so I would say all around this is a wonderful place to pop in and have a nice dinner **different from the rest of the cookie cutter restaurants around town.
Thanks again Dr. Laurie Singel, San...
