Mark's Pub — Restaurant in Tysons

First time here, the ambience was good, the drinks were okay but at a good price.

Sadly there was some confusion with some fries we were served and I initially thought "how cool, it's like Rudys in NYC" that is a watering hole with free hot dogs when you order drinks, but later discovered it was a mistake (someone outside on a table ordered them and it was somehow served to the bar, we were not even close and I don't get how that could have happened)... In retrospect I suppose I should have asked about them but I was having a nice conversation, when I understood the confusion I offered to pay them as I didn't mind, but the bartender didn't allow me and just said that I should have told him, and when I explained my assumption he just said "this isn't NYC"... Well you don't say, life there is even more expensive and it's a more difficult city and despite that there's a great place like that. In fact I ordered the second round just because we got the fries and I naively thought that was cool to find a place like that in DC, so maybe it's a good business idea for you if you ask me, because otherwise we would have left after the first round. By the way it's not only NY, in Spain it's also commonplace to get something to munch when you order drinks, and they aren't going bankrupt for that and they seem to be selling a lot of drinks.

Well, this is just my two cents, not exactly...

5 star reviews must be from their alcoholic regulars that get preferential treatment. The food is mostly fried yet some on here call all this: "character". Unpredictable and frankly miserable staff with ZERO problem solving skills (I'm not the only complaint).

I live near and workout in the same shopping center. I've known the staff for months and was RANDOMLY and repeatedly threatened with physical violence (even when I left to the PUBLIC parking lot) and slandered by 2 EMPLOYEES for "trying to start trouble" despite no incident taking place WHATSOVER.

The only "trouble" is that a FORMER partner of mine is a regular at the bar. NEXT TIME, JUST ASK SOMEONE TO LEAVE! !!Extremely unprofessional, gladly take my frequent business elsewhere....

"I was extremely disappointed with my experience at Marks Pub tonight. Despite coming in for a special date night, we were met with an unpleasant atmosphere from the immature Asian gentleman.

The bar was dirty when we arrived, and the bartender was not only unhelpful but also rude. When we asked for a clean towel to wipe down the sticky area where our arms had been resting, he responded sarcastically.

I believe the owner should review the security footage from around 9:05 PM to witness the bartender's disrespectful behavior.

While I live nearby, I will not be returning to this establishment. There are many other bars in the area that offer a much more welcoming and enjoyable...
