to call this places service friendly would be an abomination. my boyfriend and i were celebrating his birthday and wanted to go to olive garden for the yummy food and dessert. when we arrived at olive garden, we weren't greeted friendly, and got sat with a terrible waitress named Ellie. Ellie didn't crack any smiles and didn't even speak to us when getting our refills. she just grabbed the glasses, didn't ask if we wanted a refill, and then silently came back with them. our plates were freezing and filled with water, and she gave me such a weird look when i asked for lemon on the side. after multiple piles of dishes were sitting at the end of our table, almost an hour later, the end of the meal came, and she didn't even tell us how to pay or explain the dessert menu to us. my boyfriend mentioned it was his birthday, and asked for a dessert menu. Ellie didn't even say happy birthday, she just pointed to the tablet and said "it's on there." like, you can't even say happy birthday?? she brought us the dessert, didn't say happy birthday or anything at all, and left the dirty dishes STILL at the end of the table. then while we are trying to enjoy the little bit left of our dessert, some random waiter came up to us. he wasn't a manager or anything, and asked us if we liked Ellie's service because he was just (and i quote) "nosy." what the hell? i felt as this was some sort of set up or spy mission. my boyfriend and i won't be coming back to this olive garden, and certainly felt uncomfortable the whole time there. if you want to go to this olive garden, i guarantee you'll have; 0 smiles, 0 conversation, and an 100% dirty table the whole time. so much for...
Read moreDecided to have a Olive Garden lunch, found out that was a bad choice. Went in was seated right away, highlight of the meal was no waiting. Ordered my soda, it was flat with no bubbles, second one was just as flat so let's drink water. Placed our order, Chicken Parmigiana lunch portion. Salad, no pepper but as shown below the core of the lettuce made it into our salad, very unappetizing. Bread sticks were ordered but we were told twice they were out of them... finally came after we were done with the salad. At 45 minutes, I asked when "our" food would arrive as everyone around us who came in after had their food...and some of them had Chicken Parmigiana on their platters. At 55 minutes into being there our food finally appeared and those who came in after us had paid and were leaving...wish I could say it ended there. Our food was warm, not hot, and looked like it was thrown on the plate in a mad rush. We mentioned talking to manager but one never appeared. I asked for more marina to add to my food, after another 5 minutes I ate it and was looking for the bill to leave the place...and by this time both tables had been cleared, sanitized and new people were seated. This has to be one of the worst Olive Garden establishments in the chain. I paid my bill, left a tip for the server knowing it was the kitchen and managements fault. Two of the table that ate and left apologized for how our visit went as they were local and regular customers. Someone needs to make sure people pulling off US 127 are not treated like...
Read moreWent to Olive Garden last night to celebrate a couple that is moving to Texas. I arrived early to get a table at 6:10. They (4 @ the desk trying to figure out what to do with a group of 8)told me it would be 25 minutes it was an hour. There was 8 of us and and for some reason it took to 2 waiters To take our "massive" order... 4 people each. The guests of honor ordered an appetizer, We requested some olive oil for dipping the bread sticks in & peperchinies because the salad came without, None of which happened. Our side of the table got large salad plates, The other side did not. Only the bread stick plates. Our food arrived before we were done with the salads, The other "group" across the table still hadn't even received their appetizer. Then they figured out that their order never got placed. Finally the appetizer arrived, And then the food immediately thereafter.... At least 10 to 15 minutes after our group. I had the seafood Alfredo which tasted good but after eatting 1/2 of it, I felt like I ate a bowl of wallpaper paste. In a world where most restaurants don't have enough staff, this one had 4 hostesses, 2 waiters for a group of 8. Obviously 2 heads are not better than 1. The 3 extra hostesses could have been bussing tables, offering an apology for taking over twice as long to seat our huge group... Training might be a great...
