Red Lobster — Restaurant in Union Charter Township

I was happy to find the restaurant staggering tables so that every group seated at a booth or table had nobody to any side of them, allowing my sister and myself to relax with our masks on as we decided what to order.

Both the hostess who seated us and our waiter wore masks at all times, a pleasant relief from the stories on social media and the news.

Of course we asked for cheddar biscuits first thing after placing our beverage order. My sister ordered the white wine and roasted garlic mussels, which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had several biscuits which were just as good as I remembered. Soft, cheesy and a little sweet - fantastic!

Not long after, our entrees arrived. She had some kind of lobster with a cheesy alfredo sauce while I had the new Kung Pao noodles with crispy shrimp. I loved everything about my slightly spicy pasta and shrimp, save for the edamame. The crispy shrimp was perfectly cooked and seasoned just as I would have hoped, enough to feel a little heat in my mouth and on my tongue but not enough to burn. The cabbage, onions and cashews complimented the dish perfectly, brought together by the combination of pasta, shrimp and a lovely soy ginger sauce.

My sister ate about a third of her meal before asking if I wanted to take it home. We had sampled each other's meals and while we both loved my Kung Pao shrimp, her sauce was a little too cheesy for both of us. So I was fortunate to be able to take home about half of my meal and I believe more than half of hers. The combination made for an amazing lunch and dinner...

Saw the early dinner menu promotion on tv. We decided to go. No one was available to greet and seat us upon artival. Went to both sides of dining room. No one around. 4 tables of diners were eating already. Still waiting...finally walked to kitchen and flagged a waitress coming out with an order. She sst us and handed us off after asking us if wd had any time constraints. I replied no we did not but was there a problem? She said no. We should have left then. Waiter came, made no mention of any specials just wanted our drink order. Returned with our drinks still no mention of specials. We went with Admirals feast anyway. And a 1/2 lobster pizza I found on special through on table advertising. Appetizer and biscuits were brought followed by entrees. And that was the last we saw of our waiter! Food was good, nice portions and warm. But our waiter seemed to chat up a table down the aisle. Even walked outside to see the customers dog while they were still eating. I could tell ftom the conversation that they were from the same area. We waited for the 2nd time for additional napkins. And then for boxes and our bill. A good 12-15 mins. All the while he is standing or leaning against the wall talking to these folks. We had finished. We waited! Very frustrating!. When he did come to get our bill he returned with the change just laying inside so the coin fell on the floor. Needless to say, even with good food poor service will kill the...

Called ahead for our reservation, was told 30 minutes for two. We waited over an hour in the parking lot, eventually I called and asked when our table would be ready and she said we could come now - when we walked in, the place seemed half empty. She never sent a text. We get to our table, in the very back of the restaurant where the AC was uncomfortably cold, and waited at least 10 minutes for our server. Another couple was sat a few tables down and had the same server (we still had not seen ours). She was nice but obviously scrambled. We received biscuits that were raw in the middle. I notified the busser and asked if she could tell our server. The host addressed us about it, asking if our server brought another basket, offered dessert or 20% off our meal, and at that point the server hadn’t come by. She never mentioned it throughout the evening. We ordered our food, I had the NY strip and my partner had the Lobster linguine and they were ok. Not much flavor for being $30 entrees. Watched the server give the people who sat after us free dessert (?) and said it was on her. We asked for our check and boxes. She brought the check, no boxes. Continued to check on the other table and did not come back after running our bill. Horrible experience, and my first time at that. Will not...
